A ginger-haired mammoth baby found in Siberia could have been snatched by hungry human hunters from the jaws of a lion 10,000 years ago. The body of the beast - the first ever found with its distinctive 'strawberry blonde' hair - has been described as being of 'huge' significance. It's could be evidence that ancient humans attacked and fed on mammoths in Siberia, with the body of 'Yuka' showing wounds consistent with an attack by lions AND people.

And where is the obligatory Helen Thomas photo?

Baby mammoths are much cuter than Helen Thomas, hee hee.
Give a man a mammoth, feed him for a day (OK, a month). Teach him to clone a mammoth...
it’s a redhead - not a ‘ginger’ .
“ginger” is a derogatory term for redheads in the homosexual community that usually implies a degree of craziness or mental instability.
Looks like the poor bastard has fleas.
Needs a bath as well.
Looks like the poor bastard has fleas.
“Heck with that. Fire up the grill!”
I believe that mammoth meat was actually served at a Russian scientific conference in the early 20th century.
I am almost certain that I will live to see a baby wooly mammoth walking around, maybe in a zoo or circus, and I will gladly pay to see it.
a) You seem to know a lot about it.
b) Why are you giving queers the power to decide your language?
c) It's also a common British term for so-called 'redheads'.

Natl. Geographic had an article about that discovery back when they did science, instead of global warming and political correctness.

Bush did it.......
The image you posted of the mammoths is very typical of mammoth depictions. What I have never understood is how such large creatures kept from starving on those arctic golf courses.
a) I’m a redhead, and I’m heretosexual, I don’t like the term ‘ginger’. I have a right to object to derogatory labels.
b) Keeping derogatory homosexual american (or british) slang out of “accepted” hetero vocabulary by pointing it out is the point; to ignore it IS to allow homosexuals to dictate “accepted” words in my speech
c) Red hair is genetically predominant in England especially, so even if the word is ‘english slang’ as you claim, I seriouslydoubt the majority population red-headed Brits ever considered it meant as a very-derogatory term to describe themselves as ‘crazy’, as “ginger” is now used and defined within the homosexual community.
below is a list of most of the ‘british slang’ words I grew up hearing and using as a child in a London suburb to refer to people.

Labels only apply to those that care about them.
I wouldn't say ginger is an enlish slang, inasmuch as I've heard it used repeatedly by British scientists on British documentaries dealing with archeaology.
And from my readings from the 18th, 19th, and early 20th centuries.
'Methinks the lady doth protest too much.'
Stay out of the sun, wear sunscreen, and floppy hats. Skin cancer kills light-skinned ginger-haired folks.

well, I'm quite glad you didn't say the 15th century, because, if the cite below is to be believed, apparently Spain didn't introduce Europe (and the English) to ginger until the 16th century.
and just to belabor a strawman since I'm bored, ginger as a fresh root is green or yellowish green. Powdered ginger is dull light yellow. While it is a delightful spice, both enticing and calming, there is nothing 'red' about ginger in the least - in fact, it would be better served as a blond descriptive, as in "ginger-haired Swedes" ;)

Might not need to clone it.
If it’s female, there might be eggs...
