I believe that mammoth meat was actually served at a Russian scientific conference in the early 20th century.

I am almost certain that I will live to see a baby wooly mammoth walking around, maybe in a zoo or circus, and I will gladly pay to see it.

It was served to Russian scientists in the 20th century when they found the first flash-frozen one.

Natl. Geographic had an article about that discovery back when they did science, instead of global warming and political correctness.
