This just has to be a sign of the times. Record deficits and oil prices rising, and it could all get worse. So the National Geographic channel has begun airing a show named Doomsday Preppers, where viewers can watch end-of-the-world types prepare for doomsday.

Yeah, Hahaha...there used to be some Freeper "rules".
Sorry, I thought you were a woman. ROFLOL!!
I like coffee...but only drink it about 3 days a week. None today or yesterday.
Love cold-brewed coffee...And that stuff you have to be careful with. You want to have a good cup of Joe...you do that.
fwiw-
Actually, one of the funniest things I have ever read on Free Republic is, “My neighbors ar stockpiling food & fuel. I am stockpiling ammo. we are going to share. When do you think I should tell them?”
Dunno who posted it, but I about peed myself laughing.
That is funny.
I’ve heard the prediction that the SHTF is going to be more of a shift than of a cliff drop, if you get the analogy.
We’re going to shift from a consumer driven society to an individual/family food production society.
So, I’m pronouncing “SHTF” as “shift”, to reflect what is to be the reality.
“Youd be my first neighbor to die, then...”
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Yeah right.
“We think maybe he’s fiber deficient.... “
Hopefully you have stocked a lot.
And I’ll need you to dig a latrine.
Kart,
I don’t know how to ping everyone, but the Preppers ping list might be interested in this:
Sams Club is having a sale on their emergency foods and supplies.
Some, but not all, of the items ship free to your local Sam’s Club for pick up.
This link should get you there:
Their full line of emergency foods are at this link:

When my wife refers to "TEOTWAWKI" she simply calls it, The Indian Princess.
I liked the response the other day about what to do when starving neighbors come to your door.
One guy mentioned that we shouldn’t dismiss this readily available protein source out of hand...
Yeah, but...Last night they had a guy with a deuce and a half that runs on used motor oil. He had thee four hundred gallon tanks to store the stuff, and the truck could haul 5,000 lbs off road, or 10,000 lbs on round. And he and the Mrs. figured they could get halfway accross the country with their stored fuel. BUT water itself weighs 8 lbs. per gallon. Using that as a base, hauling his fuel [if he brings it all] adds something like 9600 lbs to the truck’s load.
Another guy has tons of food stored at his house because he fears bird flu pandemics. BUT his saf house is an old gem mine 2 1/2 hours away, which leaves behind the food. And the plexiglass sliding door window may stop a 9 mm, but what about a rifle?
Froim what I’ve seen, some of these folks are REALLY good, but a lot of them aren’t.
You called for an injun? ;)
It was an amazing experience for a kid used to the midwest with trees all round .. beautiful country and I learned a lot out there.
That would've been in '69-'70 .. if you happen to have played basketball or run track for Shiprock back then we prolly competed against one another !
Cheers ;-)
Yep, i’m from Shiprock and I did track in the late eighties but I’m glad you stopped by Tohatchi on the Navajo Reservation...
Best regards :)
That's why we love you here, AppyPappy.....
