Beautiful flowers Meg!
Also wanted to send greetings to all at Amy’s Place.
I have started my greenhouse business this week and will continue until June when I sell out of plants.
I wanted to say HI, and sorry I can’t be here with you all as much as in other times of the year.
I am planting my buns off (as we used to say when I was a kid working in my parent’s greenhouse business.
I am achey from the sudden workload and too much excercise, but that will improve and I will benefit from it. I hope to lose another 10 pounds by June.
I lost 25 pounds in the last year from finding out my food allergies. The loss has flattened since I am near my ideal weight (college weight). Only 10 more to go and I fit into my wedding dress! Our 25th anniversary is next month.
OK, back out to the salt mines! Just came in for a late lunch.
Everyone have a nice week!

Thank everyone for your cute and/or pretty graphics today...I enjoyed them all.
Mr. Mayor, I needed to hear this particular ODB today. Thank you!
Dave, My prayers are following you today. Hope all goes well with your chemo today.
My back is giving me one more fit. I called my doctor and wanted to see him today but he wasn’t in so she gave me an appointment for 11:00 in the morning. This must be a disc or something. No pain if I sit still or lay down but the minute I start moving my arms doing breakfast and dishes, etc. the pain is awful.
Even the pain pills for my hip do not ease this upper back at all and this is hard to understand. It might be something they can do with the arthroscopic type of surgery....I don’t know. My doctor will send me to get an x-ray and then probably recommend another doctor, you know how that goes. (Maybe he’ll suggest a chiropractor after he sees the x-rays!) All I know is that I can’t deal with this along with my other problems.

HAPPY THURSDAY TO AMYS PLACE!
Lower Lake at Glendalough, Co. Waterford, Ireland
AN IRISH BLESSING
May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand. |

Thank you, Meg. That is so pretty.
Its rained much of today and hope it will be a little clearer tomorrow. I’m anxious but glad I haven’t put it off any longer. I always give myself enough time because sometimes something will go away on its own after a time. I gave it enough time and knew I’d better look into it right away.

Thanks very much, Meg! Sorry I've been so scarce the last few days - just started on a new project at work and they've chained us to the desks. Heavy deadline coming up Monday, and then probably overtime in the next several weeks.
Glendalough is an ancient site in Ireland. Among its adornments are a ring fort dated to the first century A.D., one of the highest round towers in Ireland, and a plethora of ruins dating from from the mid-seventh century.
Glendalough was an early monastic center and therefore a beacon of light in the so-called "Dark Ages."
It is also a place of great beauty. I believe, although I cannot prove, that some of the scenes in the movie "Excalibur" were shot at Glendalough - like the scene where Merlin first first sees the sword emerge from the Lake.
Regardless, Glendalough is a beautiful place in Ireland. I have some slides of Glendalough from my trip to Ireland. I will try to scan them onto my computer in the very near future.

I've thought before about sailing to Ireland...I live on a boat...but I wonder where there's a good anchorage for a small boat while I visit. I've tried researching it on the net, but that mostly directs me to the more major ports when I'd like a little nook somewhere. If anyone thinks they know such a place, shoot me a line, I'd appreciate it...
If it's anywhere near the town they filmed "The Quiet Man" in...bonus!

Thank you so much, Kitty. I am getting ready to go now and I’ll be glad to share with my doctor what I’ve been through. I was glad they could see me so quickly, too. I was dreading another whole weekend.
Will try to be in touch later with what he prescribes for me to do. (((((HUGS)))))

Side By Side
February 17, 2012
In my family scrapbook is a picture of my daughter at age 4 working next to me, using a toy hammer to repair the siding on the house. Side by side we worked that day; she imitated my every action, absolutely convinced that she too was fixing the house. Rarely have I enjoyed a chore more. In the picture, its obvious that shes enjoying it too.
That photo reminds me that our children mimic most of what they see in uswords and deeds. They also form their images of God from the images they have of us as parents. If were stern and unmerciful, theyre likely to see God that way too. If were distant and cold, so God will seem to them as well. It is one of our most important duties as parents to help our children see God clearly, especially the unconditional nature of His love.
I can imagine the family scrapbook of my relationship with God having a similar picture. Im learning from Him how to live life, how to love, and how to make it a permanent part of my being. He then teaches me how to teach others (Deut. 6:1-7).
May the Lord grant us an understanding of Him and the wisdom to pass it on.
We must teach our children clearly
What is right and what is wrong;
Live before them an example
Godly, righteous, pure, and strong. Fitzhugh
You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
Deuteronomy 6:7
