Apparently, The One couldn't wait until February after he saw his latest polling score. The Greeniacs clearly have him by the shorts. Will be interesting to see union reaction.
Couldn't all the states involved just run the pipeline with the shale oil companies putting up the capital to get it to the refineries?
I am so sick of the feds playing Mother Hubbard on everything.
I know, "Interstate Commerce." But this shit is getting old.
High gas prices and high food prices don’t seem to interest the media - as long as obama is running the show.
We get more imported oil from OPEC member nations than from Canada.
Does that sound better to you?
What will happen is a one-year, full court press by the Rancid Media, flooding all news outlets with endless stories of how the brave Obama stared-down the 1% that tried to force this filthy, destructive pipeline through a baby seal nursery. Romney's picture will be superimposed over burning oil wells and dead birds. Local folks (Democrats) will tearfully thank Obama for saving their drinking water and the lives of their children. With one billion dollars Obama will be able to buy all advertising space until after the election. Because conservatives have real jobs they will be unable to even approach the size and frequency Rent-A-Mobs that will be bussed into planned riots, all funded by taxpayers through a thousand "public interest groups."
The only way we will win in November is for rich conservatives to fund a counter effort. They never have, have they?
Because the project crosses an international border, the state deparment has the right to approve or reject the project.
:)
I doubt there will be much complaint from unions. The rank and file really mean little to Obama or to their own leaders who care only about money and power ...nothing new here.

Quit your whining, union thugs...you’ll vote to re-elect Barry, and you will like it.
I disagree with you entirely... this was exactly the right thing to do at exactly the right time.. fubo had to choose, and he chose the hippies over the working man...the time to hammer home how the wacko dope smoking hippie environmentalists are destroying the chance for the working man to get gainful employment... add to the fact the little sweetener that these would be majority UNION jobs, and you can just about sew this up.... now add in the additional costs to energy, plus adding to our dependency on middle east oil, and you got yourself a nice sledgehammer to pound away at not only fubo, but the entire liberal establishment.....happy new year
I doubt that union leaders are genuinely upset and I doubt even more that they would think of not giving him all of their support in 2012. My guess is that any statements they make are done so to appease the rank and file.
This borders on treason, IMO.
Congress should ‘zero’ the budget of the State Department until they reconsider.
I think most of the union leaders are upset.
Union jobs means union dues and that is their main priority.
I paid $3.63/ga for regular here in CT on Saturday.
Might be a tipping point.
“Does that sound better to you?”
Your premise is still flawed. It’s like saying AFC quarterbacks threw more touchdowns this year than Drew Brees did..?
Non OPEC nations produce more oil than OPEC nations do.
But there is a solution, if we only have the organization to coordinate it, the leadership to promote it, and most of all: the courage to pursue it. That leaves out the establishment GOP, naturally. We need to stop funding our own demise.
Who is John Galt?
It has not happened yet. It could be a final trial before taking the decision to do something they fear greatly.
