So, why is the body of the edifice so much out of proportion with the head of the thing? Because it was recarved a few millenia after it was originally carved there, prior to the last Ice Age ending.

To this end I offer the suggestion that all Egyptologists ignore: That the nose of the Sphinx was removed to prevent others from seeing the resemblance to a female.... The nose was shortened, yeah... and the entire head. The Sphinx was originally a dog - Anubis, who stood for Sirius, the most important star in the egyptian pantheon. See Robert Temple's book, "The Sphinx Mystery."

If the sphynx was a woman it would have breasts (and please, nothing about erosion either).

.I was watching a great series on Netflix.... "The Pyramid Code" which provides a much more reasonable explanation... I've seen the Pyramid Code and the fact you consider it reasonable screams you need to have your discernment meter checked. This thing is on par with Ancient Aliens and Atlantis shows.

That’s a very interesting question, but I think if we look back, we can see that historically, reigns lead by women were no more peaceful that those led by men. I’m thinking Catherine the Great, Cartimandua, (even Boudiccea), and many of the English queens. I’m not sure a good case can be made for peaceful women, but you may have some better examples.

—all kidding and sarcasm aside, the nose isn’t there because it was used for target practise by either Napoleanic or British soldiers, IIRC-—

I'm more interested in the
argument by geologists that the deep erosion in the sides of the Sphinx was made by
rain, not by wind and sand. That would mean that the core statue dates back before 5,000 B.C. - far earlier than the Egyptian dynasties credited for its creation.

The conceptual grasp of how to reasonably represent human features of either gender, or possibly even the skill to do it, is lacking in other Egyptian artifacts originating in close proximity to the presumed era in which the Sphinx was created.
So, that alone sort of blows the anachronistic application of feminist grievance neohistory upon a later disfiguration. That is, unless it actually was an identifiably female facial structure, oddly sculpted in a culture that did not exibit this conceptualization or this skill elsewhere.
Me, I believe it’s an antediluvian artifact. Cultures worldwide have their flood legends that are similar to a remarkable degree. I’ll just choose to accept that there was an historical event providing the basis for all of them.
It’s erosion from rapidly flowing water.

The archaeologists are digging under the tail of the Sphinx to verify the sex as we speak.
If it turns out to be female, a football-sized veil will placed over the face of the Sphinx together with a Titanic-sized burkha extending to the tail.

That the nose of the Sphinx was removed to prevent others from seeing the resemblance to a female.... The nose of the Sphinx was "removed" by Napoleon's soldiers, who used the Sphinx for artillery target practice.
