In February of this year my older brother went to the hospital due to severe pain and swelling in one leg. Those doctors could not figure out what was causing the pain and swelling, so they sent him home to see his own doctor. His doctor could not figure out the problem either; mean while his other leg started hurting. He was sent to Houston for yet another set of test; still no results. His doctor and the doctors in Houston tried different treatments (medicine) to treat his pain. By this time he has used up his vacation, sick leave and disability time at work so they fired him. Last month he went to another set of doctors, this time in Temple, TX for more test. They determined he had anmemia and hyper or hyposomething (I cant remember) and asked him to come back this week for results of test and some more testing.
I received a phone call from my sister-in-law yesterday telling me the doctors determined my brother might have Myelofibrosis ~ which if not treated could lead to Leukemia. The ran different blood test and today did a bone marrow biopsy. Those test came back that he has Leukemia. Tomorrow the bone marrow results will determine if the type of Leukemia he has is aggressive or non-aggressive. If non-aggressive, he will receive a week of chemo and have to stay in the hospital for at least one month. My sister-in-law said she went blank before she could hear about what will happen if the Leukemia is aggressive.
Please pray that the Leukemia is non-aggressive and that my brother can be healed with as little as pain as possible.
Prayer bump
Prayers up for your brother.
Prayers sent for a non-aggresive diagnosis . . . God be with you all during this very stressful time.
Prayers offered up for your loved one!
Also, get your brother a good lawyer. I was fired while laying a hospital bed 12 years ago, diagnosed with lymphoma. Thank God that the doctors were wrong.
Anyway, if your brother has short term or long disability, the company cannot discontinue the insurance as long as he pays the premium.
More Prayers.
Prayers sent for your brother.
He had short term disability insurance. When that ended that was when his company laid him off (I guess saying fired was harsh on my part). He was on COBRA insurance while waiting to be put on his wife’s work insurance plan. The company he worked for did everything they could to keep him on the payroll. They have promised to hire him back once he is healthy.
Omnipotent and eternal God, the everlasting Salvation of those who believe, hear us on behalf of Thy sick servant, Tony., for whom we beg the aid of Thy pitying mercy, that, with his bodily health restored, he may give thanks to Thee in Thy church.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayers up!

“a grunch of FReepers praying...”
had to smile at that one - it’s like a gaggle of geese or a herd of cows or a flock of birds - a grunch of FReepers!
Hang in there.
Praying for his complete recovery from this illness.
Sending prayers for The Mom’s brother.
Almighty God, Father of all mercies, we humbly approach Thy throne of grace to ask for healing strength for our brother stricken with Leukemia. Give wisdom to his treating physicians because Thou art the Greatest physician of all. Give patience and hope to his family who wait in joyful expectation of the manifestation of Thy power in his body. We give Thee all praise, honor, glory and thanks for the answer. In the Name of Jesus Christ, AMEN.
Holding your brother in prayer.

You and your brother are in my prayers.
I have had and am in remission of, a blood-borne cancer. I also suffer with End Stage Renal Disease and am NOT eligible for a kidney transplant. But God is good - He took the cancer away and gave me three good years so far.
Prayers for your brother.
Thanks for his name! Tony and his wife Lynn will be in my prayers nightly. I will also be praying that the good Lord will guide those caring for Tony. Please keep us posted.
