The media and anti-Palin forces [many times one and the same] went nuts on Friday when Sarah Palin didnt announce her candidacy for President of the United States. As the day went on, it became quite comical.
Never mind that Sarah, who appeared Thursday evening on Fox Business Newss Freedom Watch, told the viewers she wouldnt be announcing on Friday and was holding her cards close to the vest.
Im always amazed that people think Sarah should lay her cards on the table, spell out exactly what she intends to do to win the presidency. Would you expect a general going to war to tell the enemy what his plan of attack would be? Err, no. Nor would any other candidate be asked to do this.
At this point in time, Sarah has no reason not to tell her millions of supporters if shes not running. Nothing to gain. That said, a candidate who is planning an unconventional campaign, one like shes successfully ran before [the Alaska governor's race] would certainly keep her entire strategery to herself until it was time to act.
Getting back to the point. Somehow answers Sarah Palin has given in interviews have turned into hard dates that Sarah herself has never set. In fact, shes been purposely vague about hard dates, only kinda-sorta agreeing with the reporters asking the questions. The only hard and fast dates Sarah has ever talked about were the legal filing deadlines. Those are the only drop dead dates shes specified.
We went back to an interview Sarah did with David Brody and the Iowa State Fair in August, that is representative of the interviews shes done that have asked the question.
Palin: There is still a lot of contemplation that goes on within a family, deciding whether to engage in such a life-changing venture, putting yourself forward in the name of service, in such a position as President of the United States. So, were still thinking about it, and the impact on family.
Family comes first in my life, and I just dont want to adversely affect the family. So, were still talking about it, thinking about it. And thats what I want supporters to understand.
At the same time, I want to be very fair to supporters and not keep them hanging on in perpetuity. Its fair to them to give them an answer here, in short order, so that they can jump on board with someone else, and/or to decide for themselves what they want to do. So, still havent made up my mind, havent decided when that announcement would be yet.
David Brody: Is that short order by the end of September? October?
Palin: I think that that is a fair timeline for people, because Fall time, they can start getting engaged with different campaigns, but still thinking about it, and really, really desiring to be a participant in the positive change that needs to happen in this country.
Economy getting back on the right track. Jobs created for Americans. I want to be a part of that, whether it be as a candidate, or as a supporter of the right candidate. Im still in that decision making phase.
As highlighted, the answer is the end of September or the end of October.
See the entire interview here.
If people and the media want to take the time, they can go back and look at interviews that talk about a timeline, and they all go about the same.
What is most curious is how its the anti-Palin people who are all wee-weeed up because Sarah Palin hasnt announced yet. Her supporters couldnt care less when she announces as long as she announces!
What is also curious to me is its been guys like Mitch Daniels, Mike Huckabee, Rick Perry, and now Chris Christie who have played the is you is, or is you aint game, teasing their fans by saying they might, then the wont, then they might run. [with Perry actually getting in, after promising Texans he would serve his full term as Govern on numerous occasions]
And yet, its Sarah Palin, who has always been consistent in her answers to questions about a possible run, who is the tease. Youd almost think there was some sort of agenda at work!
Whats interesting to me, is with all of the problems of the world, the Obama scandals [Fast and Furious, Solyndra, etc.] the crappy economy, terrorism, and everything else the media should be covering, they are spending their time worried about a woman they claim is insignificant, and could never win, is up to.
The constant hand-wringing over Sarah Palin betrays their fear. Sarah Palin lives rent free in all of their heads.
Thats probably why its going to be so enjoyable to watch her beat them all.
And that's depressing.
Amen to that. Here is for Gov. Palin, ready and waiting.
Wow they are actually complaining about the crying picture? Hahahaha
I have loved that pic, it says so much.
She agreed to a question of a timeframe being around end of September or October, and all her detractors say. She said END OF SEPTEMBER!! Can’t you anti-Palin’s get your fact right
Posters here have been crowing ad infinitum how Palin's been "keeping the media off balance".
She's also keeping the Republican candidates off balance, donors and fund-raisers off balance, big-name endorsers, the Tea Partiers and her supporters off balance....and if anyone think this is good for our party, think again.
I've been around the political pike for a long time. Her teasing and coy behavior going on this long (with the promise of even more stringing-along) is not good......not good for the apparatus of state and local GOP party organizations (not talking about the Eastern Establishment, btw).......just the GOP grunt soldiers nationwide) and not good for the army of Republican activists and volunteers sitting around twiddling their thumbs when they could be out organizing and campaigning for their favorites.
Big-league politics is tough and unforgiving, not a silly, emotional game being played for months with no end in sight. Palin's "unconventional" non-campaign may titillate the faithful, but for professional and volunteer workers across the fruited plain, her game-playing is turning more people off than anyone knows.

Oh, poor widdo baby.
Sarah Palin isn't obeying you!
I’m going to hope for a Palin entry into the game up until I hear her decision. If it’s yes, she gets my full support. It it’s no, Herman Cain gets my support.
Perry and Romney are my “stay at home on election day” candidates. The rest will be my “hold my nose and vote” candidates.
Is that to much to cram though your pin-size brain at one time? Or are you too stupid to grasp it? I am done with you, I've dealt with your shit before and I'm done for now, E pluribus retard.
Oh wait, just spotted this gem from your post:
Reminds me of when my daughters were small.
So, you were a child-beater, were you? Tell us more...I'd love to hear about that. You don't need FReepers to come and be victims, you create your own. Bastard.
Do you still beat your wife?
“[The] end of September, October” is an entirely different timeframe from “the end of September” without the “October”. The latter sets a drop-dead time at the end of the day on September 30. The former does not, and the former is what the gov agreed was a fair timeline. We don’t have to get into any deep Clintonesque metaphysical discussions about this. We can just read the interview and take the language at its generally-understood face value.
Sorry, I don’t have anything to say to admitted child beaters. And you beat girls! For shame. For shame.
You've pretty much proven how unpredictable and volatile you are.
Child-Beater. That’s enough for me. Should have been enough for you. You think beaten children are funny. That’s not frothing. That’s pity. Maybe people who beat up on their kids makes me volatile. OK. Kindly DEPMA.
We are in for the fight of our lives and the GOP better get their act together before it's too late!
Cyber, please tell us you just forgot the /sarcasm tag. Pretty please.
Holy cow! You ain’t kiddin’! Stark raving looney tunes.
Yeah. But he’s still a jerk.
And so are you.
People have been posting the David Brody interview, but purposely dropping the October....so it reads just Sept...someone did that at C4P earlier
