SO, after much anticipation, I finally had the chance to try Five Guys Burgers and Fries.
And after hearing and reading all the hype, I was definetly...What would be the correct word?...
UNIMPRESSED!!!
I agree.
The burgers were okay, the fries were awful.

I was a bit disappointed, haven't been back.
My SAME EXACT experience. With possibly the same exact outcome.
I felt the same way about In & Out. Haven’t tried 5 Guys yet.
Man I miss the Tommy’s double chili cheeseburger.
And in and out.
Checkers!!..Best bang, and buger, for your buck...closest thing to a slider you can find ashore..

Tried 5 Guys. Burger was OK. Hated the greasy fries. Prefer Culvers butter burger and their fries.
In and Out, Baby (and no, we don’t have it in FL)
Red Robin didn’t imp[ress me except for the price. That impressed me. Too much money for Ground beef.
The perfect burger is medium, a big fat patty of 1/2 pound or more, pure 100% beef, lot’s of cheese, lot’s of ketchup and mayo (sloppy) and some pickles on top. The bun is a potato bun, grilled and buttered. The meat is best flame cooked and with Hickory added.
Many burger places won't even cook a real burger anymore! They won't cook medium to rare.
The food police is intruding even in this one last bastion of liberty, for your safety and the environment of course!
I'm not a BIG fan of Steak and Shake, but enjoy going there once in a while. But thats why I mentioned them. They are only about 1/2 mile away from 5 Guys, 1 minute by car. Why would I even bother with 5 Guys, with Steak And Shake so close?...And Steak And Shake ain't nothing special themselves.
It was not better than the others.
Agree.
My boss got all excited about 5 guys one day and insisted on taking me there. He went on and on about how great a product idea they had. “They don’t try to do everything. They try to do the most popular lunch really well.” So I get there, order one and as I’m eating it I think to myself, “The reason I’m eating here is because my boss likes their product plan.”
I got a subscription to the HBR just to know where I would be eating every month. (j/k)
As in most things East Coast Liberals couldn't be more wrong.
Regards,
TS
Ruby Tuesday’s Triple Prime Burger was the last good burger I had ... about 6 years ago...
