Dear Cathy: How do you train a cat to stay out of a crib? Were about to have a baby and I dont want the cat getting into the crib at night?
Erlene
Dear Erlene: To discourage your cat from getting in the crib before the baby comes, place double-sided tape (available at pet stores) or aluminum foil in the crib. When the cat jumps in, he or she wont like the texture and will most likely jump out. After a few attempts, your cat should stop trying to get into the crib. Of course, please remove the foil and tape from the crib when your baby arrives.
However, the best way to keep your cat out of the crib is to make sure the cat is not in the room when you leave it, then close the door and use a monitor to listen for your baby.
what an awful picture. That poor cat.

How are they for moles?
It depends on the size really. If it’s the same size as a chipmunk or smaller they will definitely bag them if they can get them.
I was burning a brush pile out in the woods a week or so ago and had my Great Pyrennes with me. One of them caught and ate a mouse!
Then there's Renee Alper's "I got the nobody loves me, nobody feeds me, overflowin' catbox blues."
“How are they for moles?”
When I was young, we had a first class mole killer. The dogs would destroy the yard trying to get them, the cat would make one very small hole over a run and then sit for hours with her ear to the hole. When she heard one, she would dip her paw in there and snag it. Some days she would leave 3 or 4 mole heads on the porch.
I’m sorry - I was trying to be funny in the sense of the thread. I have cats, kids, and love ‘em both. I meant nothing ill to you personally. Just joking - seriously.
I know....bless it’s heart. Probably the only way they could get it off was by shaving the cat. We had to do that to ours. He got stuck on a large glue board (back feet).
I hope the person who did that was caught.
I know. Kitteh must have been terrified. Cats (especially) don’t like to be bound in any way......’cept for cuddles. ;3
Dahmer? Is that you?
“I thought she was gonna say, To keep a cat out of the crib, cut the cats legs off.”
Nah, you can just slice the tendons on the rear legs. Just as effective.

Just another example of how cats are smarter than dogs.
Cat was very successful, never working up a sweat, and being able to do two of its favorite things concurrently.
Resting and stalking.
Want to keep a box of crap in your house? Get a cat! :-)
I’ve got to get me one of those! I have a one-acre yard and the moles tunnels look like an interstate highway road map.
They’re more useful than you .....a loney loser who comes into threads just to try to hurt and lash out because of your own bitter life...
..I know....not supposed to feed the trolls....sorry....
