Social scientists attached to the Second Marine Battalion in Afghanistan last year circulated a startling report on Pashtun sociology, in the form of a human terrain report on male sexuality among America's Afghan allies. The document, made available by military sources, is not classified, just disturbing. Don't ask, don't tell doesn't begin to qualify the problem. These are things you didn't want to know, and regret having heard. The marines got their money's worth from their Human Terrain adjuncts, but the report might have considered whether male pedophilia in Afghanistan has a religious dimension as well as a cultural one

Pederasty is always a major element of homosexuality. Everything becomes ok when you have no logic and reason based in Natural Law Theory which defines right and wrong. It is common sense. We were the only nation based on Natural Law, but with the homosexualization of this country we are becoming exactly like the pagan homosexual cultures of Greek and Rome. Pederasty was rampant.
St. Thomas Aquinas aligned Catholic Theology to Natural Law Theory. It is why homosexuality was illegal in all Christian societies. It is against natural law and without natural law you can not have a logic of what is right and wrong. You can not put sex in moral terms without Natural Law. You get rid of the moral absolutes and become relativists....where everything becomes equally good.
Right and Wrong becomes whatever the majority wants it to be when you throw out Christianity and Natural Law.
Judaism was the first major religion to denounce homosexuality and to create marriage as a meaningful, special relationship which was the most important element in culture. That may be the reason they have been so hated by all other cultures which revered beauty and didn’t differentiate between homosexual, heterosexual or pederasty. How dare the Jews depict their base common behavior as an evil.
I would rhink the same factors are relevant.

And now so many (nominal) Jews are quite active in re-paganizing the West. Of course , they are not alone, and there are many people of deep Jewish faith who resist this trend.

It is why homosexuality has always been condemned in all rational societies. It is a narcissism which always leads to a worship of self and beauty and youth. It commodifies sex into meaningless, nihilistic act that is only about lust and pleasuring oneself. It takes morality out of the sex act and makes every sex act equally good. Incest, pederasty, beastiality always follow. Sins of the flesh destroy all relationships and destroy children and rob them of proper role models to grow up emotionally stable and able to relate to both sexes in the world.
Homosexuality separates a society instead of unites them. The relationship between woman and man should always be about sacrifice which it has to be, if entered into properly.
Yes, I think that's part of it, though in that case it argues against a Sufi connection, as Sufi-influenced Islamic polities were laxer in the limitations they placed on women and male-female relations.
Another factor is the pre-Islamic norms of influential societies that adopted Islam.
For example, pederasty was common in pre-Islamic Persia, and to some extent the Persians kept it after they converted. Islamic Persia, in turn, had a huge influence on the rest of the Islamic world.
Then there's the fact that the Koran itself contains suras that could be interpreted as supportive of pederasty, even as it forcibly condemns homosexuality.
BS. The Taliban are just as bad as the warlords when it came to Pederasty. The only difference is the Taliban are a more discrete about it.

It’s sadly true that many liberal Jews promote neo-paganism, along with their liberal Christian co-irreligionists, if that’s the right word. Some problems liquidate themselves. Among Americans, the lowest fertility rates are found among Reform and secular Jews (around 1.1 or 1.2), and mainline liberal Protestants (1.3 for Episcopalians and Presbyterians—granted that all Episcopalians and Presbyterians aren’t liberal). Meanwhile the Modern Orthodox Jews are having 3 or 4 children, and the ultra-Orthodox are having 7 or 8. In fifty years, please God, we will have roughly the same number of Jews, but most of us will be observant.
The Jews need to wake up and realize why they were the chosen people! It was their unique ideas and thinking in a pagan world, which led to Christianity.
I can not understand how they can discard such a tradition of greatness for this mediocre paganism that can never lead to happiness or hope.
