We flew to Phoenix on Friday. The pilot played War Eagle twice on the approach to the airport.

It is really tragic about the shooting. There have been a lot of stories on the local news.

I hope so. I was very frustrated yesterday. I had things I wanted to say, but just gave up.

While I have the chance now I want to say that I may be off-line tomorrow. I’m charging the batteries on the laptop and phone now, so I will be able to communicate. But things are not looking good at all weather-wise for this area. We’ll be fine, we’re prepared for that, but we may not be able to communicate.

Good Morning! Today is moving day. I’ll be staying in a hotel the first week, so I’ll leave some of the piles in the livingroom until next week.

There are several open houses to attend in DM this afternoon, and a dinner tonight.. then a breakfast in the morning. The swearing in is at 10:00 tomorrow morning. Mr IG is following along, and will return home tomorrow after the swearing in.

I know it is early days yet, the wedding isn't until Summer 2012, but I think I have found my mother-of-the-bride dress. Here is the basic patterm. I am on a major diet and am hoping to get down to a size 6 or 8. I'll make the dress to a mid-calf length in a dark red crepe. The challenge will be if I can find an appropriate lace for the jacket. In the back of my mind is to order the fabric now, with perhaps a matching gauze, then tat or crochet a special lace. I am thankful I have 18 months to get it done.

Very, very good! No doubt all the bad stuff of yesterday has affect the mood there....this is inauguration weekend in our state's capital...but we must press forward.
