move in date has been delay for one week. Which is probably okay,,,

I have gotten a room at the local Residence Inn for the first week. Will plan to move into condo on MLK Day, as we don’t work that day.

There is a strong chance that we won’t be able to watch the National Championship game in our home Monday night. IF we have an ice storm, then very probably our power and/or cable will go out. IF those services are out, then we’re stuck. We have all other contingencies and necessities covered but that one is not going to work.

I’m hoping that power will be on at the Arena and if so, we will get down there even if I have to start walking early and rest during the short two-mile trip. How ironic would it be that whole nation can watch the game EXCEPT the home of one of the teams?

Bills introduced yesterday include:

• H.R.212 : To provide that human life shall be deemed to begin with fertilization.
• H.R.213 : To establish a moratorium on regulatory rulemaking actions, and for other purposes.
• H.R.214 : To establish a Congressional Office of Regulatory Analysis, to require the periodic review and automatic termination of Federal regulations, and for other purposes.
• H.R.215 : To repeal the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and title I of the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 while preserving the reauthorization of the Indian Health Care Improvement Act. This is the repeal of Obamacare.
• H.R.216 : To require the Secretary of Homeland Security to issue a rule with respect to border security searches of electronic devices, and for other purposes.
• H.R.217 : To amend title X of the Public Health Service Act to prohibit family planning grants from being awarded to any entity that performs abortions, and for other purposes.
• H.R.218 : To amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to provide for naturalization for certain high school graduates.
• H.R.227 : To prevent children's access to firearms. This one is not good and introduced by the notorious dingbat Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX).
• H.R.232 : To recognize the extraordinary performance of the Armed Forces in achieving the military objectives of the United States in Iraq, to terminate the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002 (Public Law 107-243), to require congressional reauthorization to continue deployment of the Armed Forces to Iraq, and for other purposes. Overall, this is not good. It's sponsored again by Lee and just has the compliment at the beginning in order to disguise its true heinous and TRAITOROUS nature. WE must be vigilant.
• H.R.235 : To reduce unsustainable spending.
• H.R.236 : To provide that rates of pay for Members of Congress shall not be adjusted under section 601(a)(2) of the Legislative Reorganization Act of 1946 in the year following any fiscal year in which outlays of the United States exceeded receipts of the United States.
• H.R.246 : To repeal the provision of law that provides for automatic pay adjustments for Members of Congress.
• H.R.250 : To provide discretionary authority to an immigration judge to determine that an alien parent of a United States citizen child should not be ordered removed, deported, or excluded from the United States. The sponsor is a RAT from NY.
• H.R.255 : To lift the trade embargo on Cuba, and for other purposes. Again, it is sponsored by the NY RAT.
• H.J.RES.11 : Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to balance the Federal budget.
• H.J.RES.12 : Denouncing the practices of female genital mutilation, domestic violence, "honor" killings, acid burnings, dowry deaths, and other gender-based persecutions, expressing the sense of Congress that participation, protection, recognition, and equality of women is crucial to achieving a just, moral and peaceful society, and for other purposes. Sheila Jackosn Lee got one right.
• H.J.RES.15 : Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to authorize the line item veto.
• H.J.RES.16 : Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the sixteenth article of amendment.
• H.J.RES.17 : Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the twenty-second article of amendment, thereby removing the limitation on the number of terms an individual may serve as President. Again, this is sponsored by the RAT from NY.

At the War Eagle Reader blog, I am reading stories of a 3-hour flight delay which became a pep ralley, of another flight where the pilot played War Eagle over the intercom as they approached the runway and about a bridge in Oregon being lit in orange and blue lights.
