*Senate debate continues on the START treaty...
Tensions mount on the Korean peninsula as S. Korea plans to go ahead with maneuvers...
And storms rage on the West Coast causing landslides, floods, and much damage....
*I'm a little out-of-touch with the news so if any of this is inaccurate or not strictly current, I apologize...
What day do you get off for Christmas since it's on a Saturday? Feeling better?
I meant to add, they both make me sick!!
Yep. But Lugar is my senator and the Indiana Tea Party groups are coming for him in 2012.
How dumb can he be? I guess with a cushing package after he leaves, it does’t matter if he’s re-elected or not.
Thanks for the memories!
Lugar takes pride in proclaiming himself the Senate’s contrarian. Lamar! also voted for it, and Bennett and Smurfkowski, too. Can’t imagine why Orrin Hatch didn’t vote for it in a display of his ‘ability to reach across the aisle.’ All of them should go..;-))
That phrase and my good friend across the aisle drive me crazy.
Sorry to see you leave. Have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year.
Been extra busy today...hope all here are well.
S. Korea lights giant Christmas tree... Love it!!....I've been to the DMZ...it's a grim place well known for both sides doing their propaganda thing, so this is a nice choice from the S. Koreans.
For some reason, my husband has chosen this time and night to clean the bathroom vents :-))
We are off Friday.
LOl feeling..hmmmmm i’ll just be glad to have a few days to rest after Saturday.
Then in the New Year I’ll look into a new ENT specialist
My busyness has started today.
Hope you are well.
I find it particularly suspicious that this lame duck crap was sooooooooooooo uber successful.
Have a great time! Daughter arrived here safely and we’re watching Christmas movies this evening.
Actually, I am not predicting anything here, call it a “bait & switch” title to my worthless rant.
I really do not have a problem with Massachusetts losing a seat in Congress for the next go around.
I just simply do not understand the logic of a state gaining something north of three per cent in population and then somehow losing a Representative. This could only make sense to a government official.
It is sort of like calling increases in spending programs “cuts” because the increase is not enough to satisfy a few mathematically challenged people who don't actually pay for the alleged cuts out of their own income.
Speaking of income cuts, I did not get a raise this year. I work harder than ever these days at my place and the only thing that went up besides my work load was the prices in the cafeteria. How come the cafeteria got a raise and I got a lump of coal? I was mostly good, while the food there was,...not so much.
I know why. It is a lot worse than I just made it seem here, but what can one person do besides rant about the unfairness of the politically correct Universe? But I cannot talk about the real reason why. Not until I get another job somewhere, which is quite unlikely to happen because I simply never apply anywhere, and my Resume’ is hopelessly out of date and meaningless.
It sure is however, comforting to know that members of Congress are feeling some of my pain. Barney Frank had to blow (no pun intended) two hundred thousand Bucks of his own dough for his very first reelection campaign ever after 30 years.
Frank's return to the Congress is a perfect example of the Mindless exercising their Rights to undermine the votes of rational thinking persons in dozens of different languages without even an ID required.
That money Frank used was probably targeted toward something other than his posterity because unless he is a foster father he ain't got none. What will Barney Frank do with his hundreds of thousands once he goes over the Rainbow?
I will never understand. That is why I rarely ask myself rhetorical questions.
So money, to people with no kids or grand kids to fret about probably does mean so much as it does to those of us who have actually raised a few brats in order that they can be punished down the road for their wicked little toddler antics. If I had $200,000 Dollars sitting around in an account somewhere I sure would not waste it on getting elected to Congress.
I'd spend it all on my wicked grandchildren and enjoy Christmas watching the smiles on their wicked little faces as they rip paper and drink egg nogg and make messes.
Barney Frank's job is to make that impossible for me to enjoy the fruits of my labor and the fruit of my loins.
He has his job, and I've got mine to protect.
Tax and spend, lie and steal, deny my children the opportunity to enjoy watching the children of their children on Christmas day and Summer vacations, and all of the things in between.
My job is to try and stop him, any way that I can, short of violence of course.
Someday the keyboard may prove to be mightier than the sword swallower in Congress.
I so despise these spenders of my family's future.
I am not at all surprised. I’ve worked with many S. Koreans. There is a dynamic, evangelist church (several denominations) in S. Korea.
HA! I’ve been wondering where you’ve been. There you are.
Now, to read your rant.
I am sorry that you are leaving. I will miss your appearances on this thread.
Well said.
