How about Rockefeller stating that O is becoming unbelieveable!! Well duh!
Quick start. Road trip today.
Hi Sweetie, we are all fine, thanks for asking.:) Hoping you & yours are the same!!
Yes. Methampyrone is an NSAID, non-steroidal anti-inflamitory drug. It has helped a lot where the muscle relaxants the doc prescribed worked like candy.
I know that I shouldn’t use a chair, always use a step-ladder, but the time differential is so great, that I will use a chair. Just being realistic. We’re human therefore we do stupid things.
tsk, tsk..sounds like something I would do.....poor dear!! :(
I’m trying to connect my new phone via bluetooth to my computer. They now recognize each other, but no shared communication. How can I get them to talk? Sheesh!
...PRAYERS!!
Yup. I landed squarely on the lumbar portion of my back. That was supremely painful. In my mind, I’m not ruling out a med-evac to get to where I can get a good picture of what has happened. We did get x-rays and so were able to rule out fractures.
Maybe I’m being pessimistic because it just does take time to heal.
All too human failing.
Also, do you have a good support brace, something elastic, that will cinch in your muscles and give you support as you walk around...
...to be worn a while....taken off....then worn some more.
..I don't know what you have access to.
Did you ice it first...?
..that's recommended...
If it's muscles....they just take time....
I have done the most stupid things to throw my back out...
Rest a lot, but move too....you need to move...
..also, I know a good stretching exercise...I'll go to Private mail now....also to rec. a good medication.
I want to laugh at your expression but it hurts to laugh.
It could have been so much worse. I could have broken my spine and been crippled for the rest of my life. I am thankful that didn’t happen.
The med team was here probably within five minutes of me calling for help. They were incredibly fast. They couldn’t have been more caring. I was immediately immobilized. They did an initial assessment to make sure I wasn’t concussed and stabilized my neck as well as my spine.
God was very good to me that day.
..but what did I say that was funny ???? :)
I have one ben gay patch and several lidocaine patches. I have some good braces and I do get up about every half hour. Saturday I even stood for 10 minutes! LOL!
It is the change of position that bothers me and I need to take care to keep pressure off the bottom of my spine. It will take some time.
One thing has me concerned, if it was muscle damage, shouldn’t the muscle relaxants have helped with the pain? They absolutely did not. The pain is centered around the bottom of the spine with just a little extension into the upper back thigh muscles. That has me thinking maybe there is some damage to the bone that just wasn’t caught on the x-ray. That is why I haven’t ruled out a med-evac completely.
Oy vay! I’ll do the stretching exercises. It is a little too early for that.
At the moment, I have flat on my back with my legs hoisted higher than the hips. It makes for funky typing.
Your horrified “Good Mercy!” I can just hear someone saying that. LOL! At the time, it was awful.
Hubby’s students saw him leave with the backboard. Several moms got messages from their kids saying I had broken my back. I had deliberately waited on activating our prayer chain until I found out something definitive. I have received several sympathetic notes from people who heard the worst news first.
I still wouldn't rule out muscles....I have stressed mine at times, it took days for the serious pain to go away, and weeks to feel normal again.
However, you might try to get the coccyx x-rayed specifically.
Prayers for you to make the right decision!!
In my experience, muscle relaxants have never killed pain. They only relaxed muscles - primarily the muscles in my eyes.
Being unable to focus your eyes and unable to stand and/or walk at the same time is a definite trip!
I too am just horrified at what you have been thru. It could have been worse, but it’s baad. I’m so sorry - prayers up for your body.

Oh Jtill..thank you so much for this miraculous update. Prayers continue for that beautiful child.
