In the federal budget released this week, President Barack Obama calls for increasing NASA’s funding by two percent while cutting its manned space flight program. If enacted by Congress, the cuts will likely end plans to return astronauts to the moon. Some claim these cuts will damage America’s capabilities in science and technology, but the president’s spending plan will likely boost both.

Pushing the lie of Global Warming,

Giving up on manned space flight doesn’t mean we have to give up on the exploration of the solar system.

Fat, dumb and happily remotely operating a probe from a dark walled in room is no substitute for the actual experience of a new frontier.

The powers that "be" do not want us off this rock, they fear what we will learn and that we would become independent..............uncontrollable.

In my opinion, a great way for the feds to boost jobs would be to increase the NASA budget x10, and commit to a return to the moon in 5 years, with a permanent base in 8 years. Probably cheaper to build and more usefull that the ISS.

Space exploration is a MILITARY application, science is just an afterthought. NASA was not fouinded to employ a bunch of snot nosed environmentalists. It was started so we could learnn to lob missiles at the USSR and to defend the country. These morons living in liberal caves think society is a suicide pact.
