Season 8 Premiers on SUNDAY NIGHT, January 17 with a TWO hour opening episode at 9 Eastern.
On Monday night we are treated to ANOTHER two hour episode again starting at 9 Eastern.
Hard to tell which way this episode will swing...back to the tough as nails UN-PC style or will we get more handwringing and Islamo-Gaia Love like last year?
Here's a little feature from the 24 website

This season starts off in NYC with Jack trying to establish a 'normal' life with his daughter. But...some stuff goes down at the UN and "that's when the day starts to go wrong" as Jack puts it...
Attention, your attention please...
Have your scorecards and pencils ready for the starting lineups for today’s game between the Chicago Cubs and the Pittsburgh Pirates...
This is YOUR PING

For the Jack Bauer Power Hour...
NO MORE Super Bowl angst...it’s all Pitchers and Catchers reporting, Valentine’s Day, NASCAR, March Madness and Opening Day! from here on!

Jack Bauer sleeps with a gun under his pillow. . . but he can kill you with his pillow.
Only problem I see, is winter, yes winter, is in Florida and not leaving. Damn, it's cold here!
And get rid of the strange blonde female and her whacky ex boyfriend—totally unbelievable subplot - as well as the “bad guys”...this season is so derivative and stale...
So I’m not the only one who is thinking this season is kinda boring??
YEP...what you said! The CTU blonde is a stupid insertion...
Patience Grasshoppers...I agree it’s a little boring thus far. The Bauer Body Count is well under desired quota, not enough Chloe either...
But, we know that there WILL BE plot wrinkles coming!!
Who took over Dodgertown? Anybody know? (Hey, I have 5 hours before Jack is on my TV)
I guess three weeks in a row makes it a tradition. The Mrs. had a baby shower to go to but insisted on her pre-24 coupling and I had to exercise my husbandly perogatives. Oh what we must sometimes do when seeking a proper 24 experience.
WOW! That would certainly increase my anticipation for the show!
I’ll be MIA tonight.. have a work dinner. Have to depend on Tivo.
After all these years of marriage she still can wear her college volleyball uniform (and does on some nights grrrroow!) and I find that I can’t take my eyes off of her. I look for any excuse to take her to bed and 24 is as good as any.
I understand the Pirates are going to have a "get acquainted day" when all the players show up. They just don't know each other.
No ping :(
As far as I know, no one. I went by D-Town last week and it is in pretty bad shape. When the Dodgers were there, there was a nice golf course next to the complex and it's now overgrown and closed. Sad sight, really. We have the Tigers here and the Yankees in Tampa, although seeing a Yankees spring game is nearly impossible.
The Dodgers Florida State League (Class A) or Gulf Coast League (Rookie) teams no longer play in the Vero stadium. Actually, no Dodgers teams even play in Florida anymore.
I wanna see Jack blow away some daggone terrorists!
Congrads on the success of your book LS!

Wish he’d start with Iran
