Who took over Dodgertown?

As far as I know, no one. I went by D-Town last week and it is in pretty bad shape. When the Dodgers were there, there was a nice golf course next to the complex and it's now overgrown and closed. Sad sight, really. We have the Tigers here and the Yankees in Tampa, although seeing a Yankees spring game is nearly impossible.

The Dodgers Florida State League (Class A) or Gulf Coast League (Rookie) teams no longer play in the Vero stadium. Actually, no Dodgers teams even play in Florida anymore.

So Sad. I went to the second to last game at Dodgertown courtesy of the O’Malley family. We got a tour of the place, ate in the cafeteria, got a tour of all the offices with lots of historical photos. It was awesome. We picked up some dirt from the mound where my dad most likely pitched from in the 40’s... he was a Dodger.

I had heard that the Orioles may take over at Vero but I guess that fell through.

Too bad, so much history there!
