KARONGA, Malawi (Reuters) – The latest discovery of pre-historic tools and remains of hominids in Malawi's remote northern district of Karonga provides further proof that the area could be the cradle of humankind, a leading German researcher said.

Professor Friedemann Schrenk of the Goethe University in Frankfurt told Reuters that two students working on the excavation site last month had discovered prehistoric tools and a tooth of an hominid.

You can find that in downtown Blantyre today.

No, this won’t work at all. Malawi can’t be the Garden of Eden. There were 4 rivers in Eden, and Malawi has more than 4 rivers.

Cowa Karonga, dude. Eden wasn't a whole country, was it?

This impresses me not.

We use prehistoric tools in the shop I work in.

Haven’t found any teeth, but I did find a chunk of jointed finger bone from the guy who stuck his hand in the shaper, way over by the clamp rack.

You can pick your friends, and you can pick your nose, but you can’t pick your friend’s nose unless you stick your hand in the shaper...

Karongabunga!

Nice headline, but this seems a bit of a leap. The article doesn't explain why they are speculating this would be the place. A lot of sub-Saharan Africa remains unexplored and much of it is unlikely to reveal its past due to present climate and flora.
