Browsing Free Republic this morning, it seems like a lot of people are shocked by the choice of Barack Hussein Obama (mmm, mmm, mmm) as the 2009 recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize.
Even non-conservative sources (see The London Times and The Taliban??!!!) are commenting with disbelief.
I think we ought to collect one-liners or jokes about it, for upcoming water cooler discussions.
Have at it!

Barry is now firmly ensconced in infamy with Woodrow Wilson and Teddy Roosevelt ... both of whom were swcoialist at heart. This ‘prize’ is on the same level as all children getting a trophy for being in little league, not for winning or accomplishing anything, just for being in the league. So, Barry now has a plastic trophy for being in the Wilson-Roosevely league. [BTW, Jimmy Peanut also has one and John Feckless Kerry served in Vietnam.]

Now we know why Miss America invited Rush Limbaugh to judge... they were afraid the judges would award Barrack Obama!

I guess they took the bribe money for the Olympic bid and sent it to the Nobel committee instead?

AWARDING BARACK OBAMA THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE IS LIKE..... Kanye West Taking the MTV Video Music Award Away from Taylor Swift and Giving It to Beyoncé. KarlInOhio gets drunk and runs up on the Nobel ceremony's stage: "Yo, Obama. Im really happy for you; Imma let you finish. But President Bush actually freed over thirty million people from a brutal dictator!"

My two cats were fighting this morning and I successfully broke it up before either lost fur. I didn’t give a speech about it beforehand. Does that disqualify me? Should I have given a speech but let them end it on their own terms? I get screwed every year. Same old winners! :(

Best quip came from a WH aide when awakened with the news.
Is it April 1st?

“Barack Obama ... because surrender is hard work!”

I am a just a tad embarrassed for him.
I thought the same thing....but in about 10 minutes he's going to "address" us all on this - and I'm certain it'll be a "HOPE" speech, versus one of 'I don't really deserve this' humility.
This is one 0bama speech I don't want to miss.
