Browsing Free Republic this morning, it seems like a lot of people are shocked by the choice of Barack Hussein Obama (mmm, mmm, mmm) as the 2009 recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize.
Even non-conservative sources (see The London Times and The Taliban??!!!) are commenting with disbelief.
I think we ought to collect one-liners or jokes about it, for upcoming water cooler discussions.

I hadn’t heard about this yet, and would have sworn it was satire...
I’m embarrassed for the Nobel Committee. They probably don’t even appreciate how pathetic their syncophantic offering to their ‘god’ of peace really is. Especially since the nomination period for the awqard closed 2 weeks after the inauguration! I can only assume that back then they expected he’d have all the world’s problems solved by now...
It is pretty obvious to me that giving obama the nobel prize is an extremely patronizing insult playing upon his incredible arrogance. Obama will receive much ridicule for this. The Nobel committee stuck it to him, and even as leftist as they are, I think they meant to.
I can’t stand Obama and I think he deserves the ridicule, but even I am a just a tad embarrassed for him. Unbelievable.

Hell, why don’t they give him the Cy Young Award for his girly first pitch at the All-Star game this year while they’re at it.

Plus, Islam is the “Religion of Peace.”
Therefore, he’s just won the award for “Biggest Moslem.”
