BERLIN (Reuters) A bride in Germany spent her wedding night passed out next to a crate of vodka in the back seat of a car and had to be rescued by police when the BMW began to overheat in the sun.
Police in the western city of Cologne said Monday the inebriated 30-year-old remained unconscious even after they smashed the car window to get her out.
"Only after being shaken several times did she eventually regain consciousness," police said in a statement.
Still clad in her wedding dress, the dazed woman had to scramble through the broken window because she had no idea where the car keys or her husband were........[snip]

Let’s look out for people out there, ok?
The groom, the bride’s father, the bride’s mother, the bride’s children from some other guy, the bartender, the vodka salesmen - these are all people who should have been looking out for the soused bride.

Nothing says romance like drinking until you’re in a passed out stupor on your wedding night.

Sex is only sex, but good Vodka!.....now that is what a honeymoon is all about!

I’m not yet sure what to think of this story. It surely is a strange situation. Somehow, I suspect there is much more to it than a drunk bride.

Apparently she found the vodka more satisfying then her husband. Sounds like a fine start to a marriage.

Couldn't open a locked car door from the inside? And the cops weren't bright enough to reach in thru the broken window and unlock the door? Sounds fishy, maybe even fishy enough to report to the the White House.
'Cause Obama's health care "czar", a Dr. Macon Phillips, has officially requested that "if you get an email or see something on the web ... that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov."

This is just more ammunition for those crazies who are out to prevent straight marriages.

Some cars have to have the key in the “on” position to have any electricity going to the electric locks.
I found this out when I had to break the window of my wife’s mini cooper after she lost the keys at the beach, and the doors STILL would not unlock.

Has to be unlocked from the outside.
