had to scramble through the broken window because she had no idea where the car keys or her husband were.

Couldn't open a locked car door from the inside? And the cops weren't bright enough to reach in thru the broken window and unlock the door? Sounds fishy, maybe even fishy enough to report to the the White House.

'Cause Obama's health care "czar", a Dr. Macon Phillips, has officially requested that "if you get an email or see something on the web ... that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov."

Some cars have to have the key in the “on” position to have any electricity going to the electric locks.

I found this out when I had to break the window of my wife’s mini cooper after she lost the keys at the beach, and the doors STILL would not unlock.

When I lock my BMW from the outside, pulling on the interior handle will not unlock the door. Has to be unlocked from the outside.
