A female passenger from Russia had her silicon breasts ruptured as she landed in an airplane in the United States . The 45-year-old woman from Moscow was hospitalized urgently, Life.ru website reports.
The woman, identified only as Irena D., decided to spend her holiday on the beautiful beaches of the transatlantic coast. She boarded a Boeing-767 at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport with a hope that in about 14 hours she will be enjoying the sun of California.

Something dosen’t make sense here, wouldn’t the decrease in pressure at altitude be more likely to cause this than the higher pressure near sea level upon landing? I would NEVER question a single word I read in Pravda, of course!
The woman felt sick already during the flight, but she thought that it was the pressure. When the jetliner landed, the woman collapsed at the airport.
So the implant could have already ruptured while in flight.
Her trip was a bust.
I hear that she was flying into Silicon Valley.
So, is she some kind of robot or android, or does Pravda not know the difference between silicon and silicone?

Yeah, but not to 1 atmosphere. Anyway, I can easily except that it is unlikely that there is enough of an excursion below 1 atm. to cause a breast implant to rupture, but I was just commenting that the report said the ruptures occurred ON LANDING, which would seem to me to be completely inexplicable, even hypothetically.
I really haven’t much sympathy to waste on people who choose to mutilate their bodies. Her boobs, most likely, wouldn’t have burst had she not had silicone implanted in them.
I’m not buying it, not any of it.
The differences in pressure are just not enough, nomatter what the altitude, to burst an implant.

Before you make such a harsh statement maybe you should find out why she had the implants.
Cosmetic surgery, done just to enhance looks, is a total waste of money and a mutilation of the body on par with sticking rings through the nose, lips or any other part of the body,IMO(or "changing sexes" for that matter). Any infections, bursting or other defects caused by such surgery are brought on by the people who insist on having such things done to themselves.

Glad to see the exceptions you made. I just thought that your first statement was pretty sweeping.

I just can’t get a feel for this story.
There has to be more backstory that we don’t know.
Where does a 45 year old woman in Russia get the money for a bad boob job and to go galivanting to California for a beach vacation?
I was thinking the same thing. This is highly unlikely unless there was a massive defect in the implant. There are many women flying every day with implants without problems.
BTW - Myth Busters did a show on implants and they are very tough. And they get paid too.... what a job.....
I wonder if she was anywhere near SACramento?
