Researchers have found convincing evidence that using a tool for just a few minutes can have a lasting effect on how someone perceives the size and position of their body. A team led by Alessandro Farnè and Lucilla Cardinali of Claude Bernard University in Lyon, France, assessed the effects of using a grabber tool, similar to those used by litter collectors, on volunteers' body schema -- the brain's sense of where different body parts are in space... Farnè points out that the effects are subtle -- a difference of a few millimetres in estimated length -- and not enough to cause any difficulties with everyday manual tasks.

As a boy, young Barry Obama’s favorite tools were the hammer and the sickle.

Sure they are, they are the implement by which you hit the ball where you want it to go.

A ‘tool by any other name’....
Silly studies, James Bond wouldn’t have liked it, snicker.

Well, I can hammer a nail where I want it to go, turn a wrench, a screw; sand and saw wood etc., but my golf clubs DO NOT hit the ball where I want them to go.

They're not a tool, not the way I define the term anyway.

Lol, I know making that ball go where you want it to go is hard.

We think of tools as TOOLS, but remember that animals or even birds have used sticks and stones to do things with. They were considered tools in that sense.

Men just use sticks and stones to break our bones....snicker.

Some people use golf clubs for digging, not intentionally, though.
