Pretty in pastels, Meg!

I have been using the little vacuum today, getting in corners and places where ‘spiders’ hide....LOL.....and DIRT! When I am through with that one, I will try to vacuum the carpet! And I still need to polish the furniture down here, since it looks like an inch of dust on it. It has been neglected a while.

Thank you, Amy..My pleasure!
I love your bird greetings...I have been doing searches and plan to do “birds I will never see” one Sunday soon,

I still have the built in bookcases to go...I want to do those as soon as my back and the soreness allows ..

Please tell Marissa I said she must finish the medicine or the ear infection might come roaring back, worse than ever..I have had ear infections and they REALLY hurt! ..I know she doen’t want it to return.

Those of us who love coffee all feel the same, don’t we! It seems like each little thing that is wrong with us, we have to go to a specialist. And fill out a bunch of paperwork. I told a friend if my right toe hurts, I have to go to a ‘right toe’ doctor....LOL! Not left...just right! teehee.

Get yourself straightened out, Polly! Take care of yourself!

Thank you, jaycee.
I cleaned quite a few cobwebs while I was scrubbing woodwork...I need to vacuum in the corners, too ..and plow the carpet..I always need to vacuum it seems..and I hate doing it..
I’m through polishing furniture..My guest room bookcases were awful because I am in there so rarely...out of sight..out of mind.
The kitties loved the guest room cleaning and enjoyed “helping”..LOL

They have eluded the hawk. They could see him from down inside the dark and his big feet made enough noise.

The hawk might even have been watching the feeders 50-60 feet away.

I have seen a hawk a couple of times here..none this year..Of course they sit up in a tree and watch the bird feeder..
I skipped lunch..I am going to get another cup of coffee and decide on dinner..

Up High Haiku

Little striped Kitten
wants to see the World, but lacks
proper point of view

Stretching and climbing
helps, but our adventurer
wants to go up high

Little striped Kitten
is just big enough to fit
in cozy pocket

Cozy pocket fits
like a glove! Except the floor
looks so far away!

There's so much to see
way up high. Much of it is
very different

Things are much closer.
Some times, too close! Maybe if
Big Guy held my paw?

Reassurance does
not cost a thing. I see lots
of challenges here!

The Big Long Chair is
not so ominous now! I
see many ways up

The Window Sill still
taunts me, but I see many
ways to conquer it!

REST IN PEACE, FALLEN BROTHER!

Lt. Paul Mervis, 2nd Battalion The Rifles, KIA 12JUN2009

I have fought a good fight,
I have finished my course,
I have kept the faith.
2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV)

Amazing Grace

Black Watch Piper

Rest in Peace, fallen brother, rest in peace!
We who remain hold you in high honor.
Rest, fallen brother, in this sacred precinct;
We who remain keep this place sacred.
Rest, fallen brother, among these, your comrades;
We who remain keep the watch.
Rest, fallen brother, among these who answered the Nation’s call;
We who remain press the fight forward in your name.
Rest, fallen brother, lay down thy burden;
We who remain have taken up the torch.
Rest in Peace, fallen brother, rest in eternal peace!

Thanks, Meg.

Marissa is really looking forward to swim lessons next week. I’ve told her that the doctor has to give his okay after he checks her ears again.

She makes a big face but she knows there is no way she can quit taking her medicine.

I need to do some cleaning; it shouldn’t be too bad since I did some major cleaning prior to the social worker’s call. :^)

I’m looking forward to you Sunday for the birds. :)

I see hawks here mostly in spring and early summer when they're feeding demanding offspring. Then I see their kids learning. It's all tons of fun to watch the little bird parents frantically raiding the feeders too quiet their screaming kids.
