When I’m Called Home
When I breathe my last upon this earth,
Dont be sad and filled with pain.
My purpose will be completed.
What Ive longed for, Ive attained.
Dont shed a tear, but smile instead.
My death is not the end.
Im still living ~ just on a higher plane,
With Jesus ~ my dearest friend.
When my earthly body is lowered,
Into the cold, dark, dreary ground.
It wont lie there forever,
Only til the trumpets sound.
Please etch upon my headstone,
The date God gave me birth.
But enter not the month and year,
He took me from this earth.
My spirit will still be living,
For I was saved by grace.
Ill be dwelling with my Savior.
In that glorious, heavenly place.
And when the final trumpet sounds,
First the dead in Christ shall rise.
Then my body that was buried,
Will be caught up in the skies.
It will meet there with my spirit.
And the two shall be entwined.
To form the perfect body,
That my precious Lord designed.
If God has not yet called you,
Before that final trumpet sounds,
Youll be changed and rise to meet Him,
For you, too, are Heaven bound.

Well, no glass, though................
Conor, for some reason, I have the feeling that you would like a basket full of kitties!
I must tell you a story of something really ‘bad’ I did, many years ago. (Don’t read it, if you are repulsed by ‘bad’ actions of a member of Amy’s Place.)
It was May, and my cat’s kittens were six weeks old, and tearing up the house. I had advertised, and put out signs, and even took them in a box to the Wal-Mart parking lot for adoption. No such luck. I was beside myself.........these cuties were NOT going to the Humane Society - they needed a HOME!
So, I took off, kittens in a basket, front passenger seat of the car. The first little kid I saw, I stopped, and said, “Hi, honey! Did you get your mom a Mother’s Day gift?” “No - not yet” was the reply.
“Well, here. You pick out the kitty you think your mommy will just love, and take it home. When you hand it to your mommy - be sure to tell her this: “Happy Mother’s Day, Mommy! I love you!”
And, guess what? All five kittens got a home - within a half hour.
Remember this - on Mother’s Day.......
LJ! THAT cat is NOT looking for a beer! That cat is looking for a litter box!
Thank you to All FRiends for the Wonderful Posts and Pings!
Goodnight, and our Lord Grant us a Peaceful and Restful Night.

LOL
Guess you felt great taking care of 5 special mothers.
* smile *
At my aunt’s memorial last December, her daughter spoke, and said she and her mother, would sometimes hear a song on the radio and say “hey, that’d be a great song to play at a funeral.” Little did they know how soon one of those songs would be used that way. My aunt liked “I can only imagine” a current and well known song.
“I can only imagine, what it will be like, when I walk by Your side. I can only imagine what my eyes will see, when Your face is before me, I can only imagine. I can only imagine when that day comes, and I find myself standing in The Son. I can only imagine when all I will do, is forever, forever, worship You. I can only imagine.”
That doesn’t include the chorus.
Auntie had no idea she was ill. She just died in her sleep, 63 years old. She adored Jesus and spent most of her adult life seeking to know Him. She wrote for daily worship booklets, and even got published in a book of Christmas remembrances years ago. She contributed the chapter called “Macaroni Christmas” recounting how one cash poor Christmas Eve, she and her daughter went to the kitchen and wrapped up boxes of mac and cheese, and anything else they could find, and put them under the tree. Christmas morning the rest of the family was shocked to see gifts there. As they opened them laughter ensued. “Oh macaroni! Just what I wanted!” “A can of peas! How did you know!” Every Christmas my aunt made a birthday cake for Jesus. She was the sweetest woman. Always made me feel like a special niece. I was her first niece. We still can’t quite believe she is gone. She has a grand daughter that is not yet 2, and her son and daughter in law are expecting their 2nd child in June. At the end of her emails, was always the scripture Psalms 116:12 “How can I repay The Lord for all His goodness to me?”. She had a very rich spiritual life.
Ha! I felt great giving my kitties a home! (Where there was no chance they would be rejected!) I know - it was ‘bad’, but those kittens would be loved the rest of their life! (No mother can turn down a “Mother’s Day Gift”, gently handed to her by her child, with love.)
I’ll bet you were really proud to have thought of that. If we ever have puppies or kittens, I think I will use your technique. ;^ )
Thank you for your posts today. It is so obvious what a precious love you have in your heart for your family! And, you have a beautiful soul, my friend!
Here is the song you spoke of (from You Tube)
If you click the box right next to the ‘speaker’ icon under the video, you can watch it full screen. Bless you sweetie.

The ‘techinque’ only works if they are born six weeks before Mother’s Day.
(Then, of course it might work if they were born six weeks before Father’s Day, too!)
Awww...you warmed my little heart tonight with your kind comments! ***Sniff*** Thank you! God Bless!
The whole thing was copied and pasted, LJ. (Except for the last one - I made it up). There were a hundred things more, to add to that last one - maybe we should do a “Why did the Obama Chicken cross the road?” thread...............(?) We have some wonderful posters, here, with FULL KNOWLEDGE OF WHY THE OBAMA CHICKEN CROSSED THE ROAD! (lol)
Come on, guys - give us your input!
The caller to the radio program mentioned religion, so the radio talk show host began to rant about hypocrites. I cant stand religious hypocrites, he said. They talk about religion, but theyre no better than I am. Thats why I dont like all this religious stuff.
This man didnt realize it, but he was agreeing with God. God has made it clear that He cant stand hypocrisy either. Its ironic, though, that something God opposes is used by some people as an excuse not to seek Him.
Jesus said this about hypocrisy: These people draw near to Me with their mouth, and honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men (Matt. 15:8-9).
Notice what Jesus said to perhaps the biggest hypocrites of His day, the Pharisees. In Matthew 23, He called them hypocritesnot once, not twice, but seven times! They were religious people who were putting on a big show, but God knew their hearts. He knew they were far from Him.
Non-Christians who point out hypocrisy in us when they see it are right in doing so. They are agreeing with God, who also despises it. Our task is to make sure our lives honor the One who deserves our total dedication.
Good Morning everybody!
Good Morning!
