Good evening. As Arctic temps and snow grip much of the country, I pray for all those who travel and have to spend time outside.
Also remember the many affected by the economic woes this season...anecdotal stories we're all hearing bring the statistics to life, and add a somber theme to the time which is usually so joyful.

Shoveling snow is good for one and builds character.

YIPPETY SKIPPETY! THE WORLD HAS TURNED! More sun! More sun!
Sunshine is good. It warms the bones and cheers the heart. AND the vitamin D which your body makes in the presence of sunshine (I think I got that right) helps prevent many diseases including bone and colon cancers.

Good Evening. It’s frigid here.
We went Christmas Shopping after I got home from Mass this morning, so we were out in it several times as me moved from Mall to shopping center to shopping center.
I’m about 2/3 finished with my shopping.

Fireworks here (Fairbanks)last night to celbrate the Winter Solstice. Bad news: Daughter stuck in Seattle airport, may not get until the 23rd. Good news: Her cousin lives in close proximity to the airport.
Rejoice, friend! ‘Tis the Season!

Thanks for the start and ping! Pretty darned cold here: the dog thinks we’re nuts for suggesting that she pee outside, and manages to go less than five feet from the back door, while staring at us accusingly for staying indoors to finish our business, LOLOL! I’m quite certain I would develop an enormous bladder if I had to go outside in -11 temps (without considering wind chill) as well.
All I can say is bring on that global warming!

West Coast Dawn Patrol on station.
Cold, clear sky. Rain on the way. Which means more snow for Denver.
Speaking of Denver. THEY LOST. CHARGERS WON. This Sunday night game will be a good one.

Good morning!
Beautiful breakfast table, lysie! and the food looks delicious. Thanks.
With the really cold weather so many of you are having, I hesitate to mention our own here this morning....(but it's 21 degrees outside).

Good morning.
Schools are delayed or closed this morning.
I haven't attempted putting the dogs out, yet. Too brrr!
I'm trying to convince Greg into staying home. On top of the weather he has a nasty cold.

Staying inside in this kind of weather AND w/a cold makes sense to me, lysie!
Maybe you can convince him that spreading his cold to others would ruin their Christmas.
