Good evening. As Arctic temps and snow grip much of the country, I pray for all those who travel and have to spend time outside.
Also remember the many affected by the economic woes this season...anecdotal stories we're all hearing bring the statistics to life, and add a somber theme to the time which is usually so joyful.
Wow! That is awesome!
Goose bumps came when I read your post. What a nice gift given by your husband!
(one small correction)..It was Tuesday night, not last night.....
..sorry, my sinuses are extremely messed up, and have been for almost 3 weeks, I'm on my 2nd dose of antibiotics!
One ear is shut down, but amazingly it opened up enough Tuesday night so I could hear this glorious music...!!..and it was glorious...pure, unadulterated, spiritual Christmas hymns!!
Steven Curtis Chapman is the Christian singer/songwriter who recently lost his sweet little adopted Chinese daughter through a tragic accident.
He has such a sweet sweet spirit, he glorified God throughout the concert.
He didn't personally sing, but occasionally sang along with the choirs...
..but he read the Christmas Story with a strong personal touch.
I will admit, after the Hallelujah Chorus, I was so overcome, I was standing there weeping....the truth of this true story and the inspiration of the hymns gave me such peace that God IS in control and I should have no fear of what's ahead.
Merry Christmas to all..............
Guenevere, what a wonderful gift your husband gave you, thank you for sharing, it brought tears to my eyes.
Good morning everyone, Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas to all my dear ATRW friends.
You have just given me one of the best Christmas gifts ever. Thank you.
Merry Christmas!
You are among the best. Love you much.
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas! Merry Christmas, Everyone!
Merry Christmas, Joan!
Merry Christmas! What a wonderful present. Your telling brought goosebumps to me.
Every time I hear the Hallelujah Chorus, I sing along with the bass part because there were many years I was in a church choir and the bass part of it is riveted in my brain.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
Toby
Merry Christmas, Jem!
OK! Which one is TOBY!
I GOT IT! GRITS IN A PANCAKE!
I am not a computer type guy, have to have help from GD or D if I want to do this or that on the computer. I would love to be able to enter a post on other sites (religion) but simply can't (one each dumb A— I guess) but, I am happy just to be able to chat with ‘youse guys’ (yankee for you guys).
Got to clean up my ‘Shack in the back’, say about 15 minutes to do so, after all, it is Christmas. Already made my bed, a start anyhow.
Merry Christmas!
Toby
