To the moon, troll, to the moon!

During the cold war, JFK claimed to have gone to the moon. He got congress to spend billions on his moon landing and pretended america landed there, convincing congress to give him billions, the fakeness of the landing is well documented.

It seems to me that this liberal moneybags, that he took these billions for personal use, or maybe gave them to the USSR (we all know he was soft on communism)

Perhaps his death was similarly staged in order to keep his billions or keep congress of his case.

I wonder if under an obama administration we will see more moon landings.

I didn’t notice any fleas on the lion I petted.

It had probably been treated with “Revolution.” We just put that on our catz.

Unlikely. This was in the days when I was young and foolish.

In other words, a long time ago. Lions and fleas had been invented, but chemicals hadn’t.

A lot of time has passed. I’m old and foolish now. Some things never change.

"Chemicals not invented? No alcohol?!?"

You wouldn't believe how long it took for us to figure that out.

It was worth the effort, though.

Raucous round of applause to you and your committee! You saved the human race from extinction. (Or at least me :-).

It made our buildings start looking a little strange, though.

“Yep, that’s straight enough! It hasn’t fallen over yet.”

The earliest written documents of humanity are government construction project accounting records.

Howya! It’s important to get your computer working right. If you lived nearby, Anoreth and Bill would Look Very Seriously at it, and you’d end up with ... a toaster or a paperweight or a stargate, but probably not a working computer.

We’ll be leaving for Mass shortly, and when we get home, we’ll decide whether we’re going to the Folk Society Christmas party tonight or staying home. I can win the mandolin raffle even if I’m not there :-).

"I wouldn’t mind hving a stargate...."

The closest I can come to providing such a wish is in the spherical elevator cars of our Flying Castle. Even the opening is circular.

In the real world, I'd like to have the opportunity to explore a city that has the equivalent, or the equivalent of the turbo-lift.

Imagine being able to be whisked anywhere in your city just as easily as dialing a telephone number.

And don't forget we could do this with available technology.

.

As for a real stargate ... we might have some trouble with that.

There’s no point in going to other planets if they’re full of people who want to kill you.

Now getting to church without loading up the van would be nice!
