[history]
During the cold war, JFK claimed to have gone to the moon. He got congress to spend billions on his moon landing and pretended america landed there, convincing congress to give him billions, the fakeness of the landing is well documented.
It seems to me that this liberal moneybags, that he took these billions for personal use, or maybe gave them to the USSR (we all know he was soft on communism)
Perhaps his death was similarly staged in order to keep his billions or keep congress of his case.
I wonder if under an obama administration we will see more moon landings.

that classic book about the Internet, The Road to Surfdom?I considered checking that out of the library last week, but I thought it was about beach culture in the 70s, and I wasn't really in the mood.

You can’t fix your own weather?

I knew that would come up.
The whole world keeps playing a game called “yes, but”.
Sometimes I think they don’t really want their problems solved.
.
I could fix things. I really could. All they have to do is put me in charge.
Maybe they’re smarter than I think.

Even my imaginary worlds have problems.

Actually, it is a good sign, because your imaginary world problems are always solved with imaginary (but very creative) solutions.
Works fer me!

We have a big fan set up to get the cold air south so we can suck up some of that warmer air from Europe.
It may take a while, so bundle up.

It’s warmed up to the upper 30’s here. Got to do a little shopping and then pick up the boys at the senior citizens’ party. Then we can cake-decorate.

I’m back. The boys did their community service, along with the fire and rescue department, the JROTC, and the beauty pageant contestants. Tom was underwhelmed by the latter group; Bill was conspicuously silent. “Miss Mint Hill Madness” probably propositioned him :-).
I got James a ream of paper for Christmas; Pat a laser pointer (from the pet store) for his birthday or the day he finishes his Greek workbook, whichever comes first; and Sally a new penguin calendar. Saves ordering it from “Antarctic Connection,” but maybe she can have a penguin sweatshirt from National Wildlife.

Was thinking "Con"... as in DragonCon. That's were the photo in question was taken. Gonna have to go see the weirdness at some point.
Maybe I can do up a Hephaestus outfit to wear...
That's my story, and I'm stickin' too it.
