[history]

During the cold war, JFK claimed to have gone to the moon. He got congress to spend billions on his moon landing and pretended america landed there, convincing congress to give him billions, the fakeness of the landing is well documented.
It seems to me that this liberal moneybags, that he took these billions for personal use, or maybe gave them to the USSR (we all know he was soft on communism)
Perhaps his death was similarly staged in order to keep his billions or keep congress of his case.
I wonder if under an obama administration we will see more moon landings.

It’s not the snow I hate.
It’s the cold.

Especially the ice on the road. Went out earlier and saw a pileup at the bottom of a hill, evidently from last evening. An out-of-control van had slid into a brick wall and several cars were stacked up the hill, one or two facing the wrong way. The van looked totaled, and some of the other cars weren’t much better.

It was still snowing in the first picture, else you'd see the forested hills that were just a few hundred meters away.
But it doesn't look like a good week ahead. Snow is supposed to arrive again tomorrow afternoon through Sunday, and again on Christmas Eve. The only good thing is that the temperatures are forecast to be above freezing, and the forecasts are usually low by several degrees. And I just learned there's an strong east wind forecast for tomorrow, 50 to 70 MPH... and an east wind is so rare I'm not sure what to expect, except that it could be bad.

Still 60’s here, howling wind out of the South. I wish it would do something instead of just being humid every day!

Howling hot humid winds doesn’t sound like much fun.

Grass and leaves and packing-peanuts (it was trash today today) blow in the house every time we open the front door.

It’s downright dangerous.
On top of the snow we are having a bus strike, so there are 20% more cars on the road.
A man was hit by a car downtown yesterday, and the ambulance couldn’t get there in time to help because of the traffic.
TC - I wish those were my posts. :-)

Thanks TC.
The worst hit are the seniors and the students.
Unions deserve coal for Christmas, wait, no.
They could use that for heat.... they don’t even deserve that.

10 cm on Wed. morning with ice underneath, another 3cm or so during rush hour(s) this evening, and 2 more overnight, blowing around.
We are in the clear until Sunday, when they are calling for another 10-15cm.
It’s not 2 feet of snow, but it’s enough to cause a hundred accidents, particularly as we have so many people on the road who would normally be on the bus.
