What happened yesterday - 11/08/2008? [Update at post number 207]

Posted on 11/09/2008 5:46:59 AM PST by reg45

Question: What happened to FreeRepublic yesterday? It was unavailable? I was beginning to suffer from truth withdrawal syndrome.

Thank you for sharing so many private and personal insights, Jim. I hope we didn't harangue and harass them out of you. If we did, please know it was out of love and concern, and that we didn't mean to jump the shark.

As always, prayers are up for you and your loved ones and lovely angels rest upon on your shoulder to watch over you for us.

You have approximately a gazillion closest friends here and we're all anxious to assist in any way you need. You just holler!

New hardware needed, time to dig deep folks! None of it comes free. Special Interim Freepathon? I’m in! We need a button to be able to easily increase our monthly pledge.

God bless and God speed Jim. You are a leader, Patriot and hero to so many.

I wouldn’t worry about new hardware just yet. We just added three new servers that effectively doubled our capacity. Our traffic will fall off for awhile as the election excitement dissipates, and then in a year or two it will begin picking up again as the new Marxist regime starts impacting our formerly free economy, national security, and individual liberties. Look for a flood of new concerned citizen members prior to the 2010 elections. I don’t think it’ll take much more than 18 months for the freedom loving people to tire of full-blown Marxism, or of the clown, Obamessiah.

It’s those live mice, leave ‘em plugged in too long and they nibble stuff.

My prayers for your speedy recovery Jim.

Although we've never met I consider you a trusted and dear friend.

God bless.

Hey Jim-

A half teaspoon of cinnamon a day will help moderate high blood sugar. You can add cinnamon to more than just cinnamon rolls- it’s good in pork along with hot pepper & cumin, or in chicken with hot pepper and coriander.
Tea made from blueberry leaves will lower blood sugar, too, but it’s not easy to find unless you plant a blueberry bush.

I seem to remember seeing him replying vigorously on another thread thanking him and his brother for getting it fixed.

They're also giving me pills for circulation, blood pressure, cholesterol, various dietary supplements and minerals and vitamins. They've discontinued the antibiotics. I take enough pills daily to choke a horse.

Have you tried garlic supplements? Garlic is a wonder food. Keeps your heart healthy and is good for infections.

Which thread?

well, next time I will be sure to search very single thread before I make any comments.

Big deal. someone posted a thread that related to the problems with Freeper. Obviously a lot of people had not read that other thread. So what? A lot of important information got communicated, including our positive venting about how wonderful this site is.

Chill.

We Conservative (Palin) Voters are all teachers and University Professors now. The threats of Net Neutrality, Fairness Doctrine and Media Bias? Bring it on and watch the lights come on in the general public's eyes as their faint nagging doubts become the grassroots alarm that awakens the Sleeping Giant within every true American, at long last.

Paper handbills and local speeches on soapboxes got the job done in the 1700s. They would be sufficient alone, if necessary, again.

I see you still haven't found the answer to the question in the thread title.

Better question still:

Have you found a new set of clothing ... it seems to me that the outfit you were wearing this morning might be a bit charred and smelling stongly of smoke.

Yes it went down for most of the day but you could have just sent an email to the the admin moderator posing this question instead of posting a vanity thread.

Hah! Made you look!

Did you notice that JimRob himself visited this thread himself -- twice -- and gave a straightforward answer to the question that prompted this thread? With not a word regarding the fact that it was a vanity?

Give it a rest, man. Trust the admins to do their job.

God Bless you and yours, Jim. Prayers for your health & recovery, and thank John for us too for getting us back online.

You wrote: We'll be encouraging a comeback of the local chapter networking system and encouraging our members to exchange email addresses and phone numbers with trusted chapter or group members.

I would love to know more about this when and if it happens again, especially in terms of communicating between chapters as so many of us are looking to leave these blue states.
