If it weren’t for Sarah, it would have been worse.
Every conservative I know was luke-warm, at best, about McCain. But energized by Palin.
Why because I don’t think we need former college professors and people of that ilk running the country?
Obama wouldn’t have gotten anywhere without the MSM. They made him President.
NO!
The people of the United States rejected REPUBLICANS, en masse.
They are just sick and fed up with them.
Repubicans held majorities in both houses of Congress and held he Executive.
What did they do?
Stab eachother in the back.
Provided thousands of opportunities for the press to mock, ridicule, and lampoon them for their peccadillos and scandals.
The Press, of course, hates Republicans and their bias went a long way to unhinge American common sense.
I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that a lot of folks voted for the Democrats just to get some peace from the Press.
They’re tired of being called racists.
They’re tired of $90 million executive “parachutes”.
They’re tired of sex scandals.
They’re tired of the endless drumbeat of how “bad” things were going in Iraq, even though everybody KNEW the Press was lying.
They’re tired of being pariahs throughout the world.
Now, I’ve got some bad news for all these folks.
NONE of that is going away.
But the real problem was that the Republicans played right into the hands of the press.
And, even more important, as another poster noted, God is giving us the leadership we deserve.
God is in control.
What is God’s greatest curse to the living? “I will cut off you’re generations”.
Americans are volunteering for God’s greatest curse to the living.
And what is God’s greatest blessing to the living? “I will multiply thy seed.”
Few there are that are willing to make the sacrifices necessary to have a lot of children. I know somewhat about this, as father of eleven (see my tag line).
We must BREED our future.
Follow politics much?
Sarah Palin was the only reason the McCain campaign had so much as a whisper of a prayer. The nail in McCain’s coffin was the economic implosion - and McCain’s reaction to same.
McCain was the Media's choice for the Republican party...
McCain was NOT a conservative, and barely a Republican...
The ONLY act by McCain that hinted concern over retaining the conservative base of the party, was his concession to select Palin....
Unfortunately - her apron strings were not enough to save McCain...
Perhaps now — a CONSERVATIVE party will form that KNOWS how to battle with the long toothed enemy of the Republic the “Democrats/Marxists” have become......and it ain't done by “reaching across the aisle” or working for bipartisan cooperation..... It requires DESTROYING the leftist bastards...
Sarah Palin was the right choice.
The MSM set out to show America they could control the sheeple and they proved it twice. First they manipulated the race against Hillary, then they manipulated the race against McCain. If there’s anyone to punsih over this, take it out on the media.
With all their negative reporting against good people like Sarah Palin and her family, the way they did everything they could to drive the stock market down at just the right time, and attacks on anyone who dared to oppose the anointed one, they got what they wanted. They wanted to tank the economy, so lets finish it.
I see DOW futures are way down. If I owned a small business, I’d be laying off anyone with a Obama sticker on their car (ala Hillbuzz website post). Boycott the sponsors on all news shows, including FOX.
Now starts the endless campaign for the next two years. Start up alternative news sources. Put up “I told you so” flyers all over the place. Paper the country from one end to the other. Shadow the Rat congresscritters and publish every assault on personal freedom they attempt. Demonstrate peacefully and often - see how they like it!
Urge our Senators to filibuster everything - everything (especially anything that raises a tax or increases spending). I don’t believe they will get to 60 Senators tonight. Stay on our Senators and force them to develop a spine. Tell them if they don’t filibuster the tax and spend plans, we’ll replace them with someone who will. A few recall efforts should do the trick.
If one of the Rats is on a call in show, organize call in blitz and verbally abuse them on the air. This can be done with facts. Bring up their past associations and unethical or questionable conduct. The archives should be full of opposition research material. Pack the house at public meetings and townhalls, then launch into the questions they don’t want to be asked.
I feel better when I vent...
I guess you see now that that was a stupid question, right?
Are ou a RINO?
I think that Sarah is the reason that he did as well as he did. john McCain himself never energized the real conservatives. I don’t know who should shoulder the blame for that, McCain or his handlers. The Mac never attacked until the final days of the campaign and no one can argue that the DEMs had a better ground game. We have got to start getting more young people on our side. I swear to god though, i would yank away my childs tuition so fast their head would spin if i knew they voted for that Marxist. Uggghhhhhh!!!
Absolutely not!
Blame the forces leading McCain and his believing their direction.
But mostly blame the media.
And blame the Bush administration for being so silent.
And while I’m on the blame game, blame the dumbing down of Americans.
And how about those forces behind O, who seemed to have been prepping him and clearing the way with their ACORNs and those in Congress who would do anything to defeat conservatism.
O is just about to speak, so off goes the TV set. I can’t take any more.
After Palin gave her speech at the RNC, I predicted the MSM would tear her down.
Little did I know just how biased they would be.
The MSM is now emboldened and will shamelessly smear anyone who dares to disagree or criticize “Dear Leader”
The clincher was the LA Times refusing to release a video that was damaging to Obama in the final days of the election.
And we can look forward to the “Fairness Doctrine” which will be another attempt to silence dissent.
Palin was the best part of the ticket - by far!
Well if you saw Campaign Karl tonight in his remarks, he said something to the effect that McC had a sort of feeling during this campaign that this was to be 0bama’s destiny etc blah blah and quack quack..made me think “ Well then McC threw this election and that is why he did not go after 0bamination with the full force. Conservative commentators questioned why he let so many issues slide by.
If this is so it just Pi$$es me off big time. I am with the supporters in the crowd in AZ who booed some of what McC had to say. It is fine to be a solid American but what on earth makes McC think we should just cross the asile and work with a marxist..we need to defeat them...that is what has been wrong with the GOP..guys like Lott and Frist were just such candy A**es..with this sickening attitude if we are nice to them..they will like us and we can work together. bunk. Outside of Zell MIller did you ever see many democRats work with or on behalf of he loyal opposition?
And to look at Sarah ,tonight, she looked like she was just crest fallen and holding back tears..yes she will go back to Alaska ( and if I were her I’d be on the jet home right now) but gol damn..she only had what 8 or 9 weeks to pull McC’s campaign out of the crapper! I am angry at how it seems she was used. She is dyn o mite and we will see more of her. She and others like her will save the coservative movement.
I for one will miss seeing her nearly daily..Lucky Alaska..
Hay..maybe we conservatives should think of moving to her moose country!!Her upbeat can do spirit and love of how great America is is so refreshing compared with the doom and gloom and how horrible America is by DemocRAT statements.
I voted and worked for McPain because of Sarah. They had a choker collar on her during the election. I am confident in the near future, she will nicely point out that McPain was too bipartisan, McPain felt MSM would be fair to him and she will attack the MSM for the deceit foisted upon the American people.
Life will go on... I am confident the Dems will lead with Far Left legislation, public opinion will come out against it and the Far Left legislation will die a slow death in committee. This will continue until the public realizes the DO NOTHING congress is the DO LESS congress and vote them out in 2010. Obama will be saddled with a broken economy, congress may provide tax cuts, but they will be of little value, Bush will be blamed again.
I want Palin to run for the nomination in 2012, I want fiscal and social conservatives to retake the GOP, yet welcome all. This country is too strong to roll over, however I do visualize a repeat of Nam’. We will abandon the Iraqi and Afghan people, all those purple fingers will be on the hit lists. History does repeat itself. McPain just gave his BIPARTISAN, I’m a loser, speech.
I agree without Palin this race would be
over long time ago , as a guy I would
love to see her run in 2012 as president
of the United states,I love everything
about her.
Ridiculous. Sarah Palin, if you are out there listening, “Thank You”. You are the only reason we, the Conservative base, made the effort towards victory that we did. Prior to your arrival on the scene, we had already conceded defeat. Largely, we had conceded defeat the moment McCain was selected to lead us. Though an honorable man, he does not exactly represent us. When he emerged as the party leader, it was a sure sign the party had turned its back to us. You, YOU, provided us the banner we could rally around. Don’t be a stranger to the cause. We’ll support you again. Hopefully, the next time around you won’t be surrounded by moderates who throw away opportunity after opportunity to seal the deal and win the election. May God Bless you.
Sarah was the strong part of the ticket. Screw the pundits. Screw the so called Republicans who said she was the weak link. I hope she comes back with a vengeance because so will I.
You said it better than I ever could have, thank you!
McCain saying the fundamentals of our economy are strong was the turning point. Soundbite perfect quote to paint him out of touch.
