Thank you Meg. It was important to find out which gift cards should not be given as gifts. ;-)

Meg, for when you get back from your shopping! You love the blue flowers! And for Billie and her love for horses! And I will be away after this one.

Good Morning Yorkie! Hope you are having a great day! I am getting ready to get outta here and run errands and then clean my bedroom, make cranberry salad this afternoon. What is your favorite things, besides Yorkie’s of course...LOL!
I copied that pumpkin roll recipe. I would love to make it. I don’t have a jelly roll pan. Always heard of them but I am not familiar with them. Guess I will have to buy one. Is it like a cookie sheet with about an inch edge all around?

JC, you are right. A jelly roll pan is nothing more than a cookie sheet with sides about an inch deep. I haven’t made jelly rolls for years - but intend to make this one.
My favorite ‘thing’ is cooking/baking. (Especially if someone else helps with the clean-up.) LOL
What’s your favorite ‘thing’?

Jaycee, those are the most beautiful pink roses.

Ah, a pretty horse in a pretty field of bluebonnets. Thanks, Jaycee!

Just thought you two might be interested to know that yesterday I baked a loaf of Rhodes frozen loaf bread that you both praised so highly a week or so ago, and yep! It’s pretty yummy and the house smelled soooooo good while it was rising AND baking. Real butter and a bit of cinnamon sugar made it great for toast with ham and eggs this morning. :)

Well, gosh, isn’t it hard to think on the spur of the moment!
I have several and will think it over. I thought if I knew your favorite things, I would remember sometime in posting graphics! No I know you don’t want me to post cooking things~~LOl~~~!
I have a collection of hands. You know the beautiful women’s hands. They are hard to find. I’ve had most of mine a very long time. When my brother owned his Antique shop for many years, he gave me a few for gifts and I had one that belonged to my Mama. I have located a few myself when we use to love to go antiquing. (however you spell that word)...I also love little heart shaped containers. I am one of those who loves everything. I am a pack-rat because my husband taught me how...hahaha! He really did.

Gone again - lunch time, errands, hopefully won't have to get out tomorrow. YUK! Hate the congested streets and supermarket.

Glad you got to try the Rhodes bread, Billie! I have also let the frozen dough thaw, and rolled it out, spread a little melted butter on it, sprinkle with cinnamon, sugar, raisins and nuts, roll it up, slice in to pinwheel rolls and bake. Top with confex. sugar icing - it’s to die for cinnamon rolls!

JC, as far as collecting goes, my hutch is full of antiques. (teddy bear, horse, angels, half doll, mineature dolls, mineature tea set, ladies boots from the turn of the century, baby shoes a hundred years old, primitive toys, etc.)
For years, I have collected angels and art depicting children. Here is a picture I have in my dining room:

LOL! When my brother’s wife saw it, several years ago, she said it had my name on it, and couldn’t resist.
Sandra Kuck has painted many pictures of angels and children. (And I would be tickled pink to have any of them!)

"I cannot go to school today," Said little Peggy Ann McKay, "I have the measles and the mumps, A gash, a rash, and purple bumps. My mouth is wet, my throat is dry, I'm going blind in my right eye. My tonsils are as big as rocks, I've counted sixteen chicken pox And there's one more--that's seventeen, And don't you think my face looks green? My leg is cut, my eyes are blue-- It might be instamatic flu. I cough and sneeze and gasp and choke, I'm sure that my left leg is broke-- My hip hurts when I move my chin, My belly button's caving in, My back is wrenched, my ankle's sprained, My 'pendix pains each time it rains. My nose is cold, my toes are numb, I have a sliver in my thumb. My neck is stiff, my voice is weak, I hardly whisper when I speak. My tongue is filling up my mouth, I think my hair is falling out. My elbow's bent, my spine ain't straight, My temperature is one-o-eight. My brain is shrunk, I cannot hear, There is a hole inside my ear. I have a hangnail, and my heart is--what? What's that? What's that you say? You say today is---Saturday? G'bye, I'm going out to play!"

That poem HAS made all the difference in my life. I lived it before I read and its meaning deeply permeated me a very long time ago.

I could have said the very exact thing, LJ! In fact it was the poem read at my High School Graduation - and I had already memorized it.
Thank you Billie!

Where The Sidewalk Ends
There is a place where the sidewalk ends
And before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the peppermint wind.
Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends.
Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white arrows go
To the place where the sidewalk ends.
Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
For the children, they mark, and the children, they know
The place where the sidewalk ends.
