Just thought you two might be interested to know that yesterday I baked a loaf of Rhodes frozen loaf bread that you both praised so highly a week or so ago, and yep! It’s pretty yummy and the house smelled soooooo good while it was rising AND baking. Real butter and a bit of cinnamon sugar made it great for toast with ham and eggs this morning. :)

Gone again - lunch time, errands, hopefully won't have to get out tomorrow. YUK! Hate the congested streets and supermarket.

Glad you got to try the Rhodes bread, Billie! I have also let the frozen dough thaw, and rolled it out, spread a little melted butter on it, sprinkle with cinnamon, sugar, raisins and nuts, roll it up, slice in to pinwheel rolls and bake. Top with confex. sugar icing - it’s to die for cinnamon rolls!

I’ve discovered that when making sticky buns with the Rhodes dough balls, a drizzling of Karo syrup on the rolled out prior-to-second-rise dough is a good thing before srpinkling the cinnamon and sugar and chopped pecans and rolling into a log for cutting then rising on parchment papaer for later baking. A light drizzle of Karo on the risne rolls before baking makes a crusty treat, too.
