NEW YORK (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Health inspectors have shut down a Chinese restaurant in New York after they found workers butchering roadkill to serve in their dishes.
Someone reported they saw a guy drag a dead deer from the road into the restaurant.
When investigators arrived they found the deer on the floor of the kitchen with its legs cut off.
They say you could still see the blood trail from the front door through the restaurant where the guy dragged it.
"That's disgusting, I will never eat Chinese again. I'm sorry for all the people out there, that's gross," said customer Lisa Williams.
Health officials say they've also written numerous tickets at that restaurant over the last five years for several different violations.
Nugent’s certainly scans better, in any case.

I suppose it matters how long it laid dead on the road before they decided serve it as dinner....
Where I live, we call the fresh deer hits in to the wolf preserve, and they pick them up for the wolves dinner...

Hey a little deer meat with my rice now thats a good idea!
We use to goof on my younger sisters friends and tell them that the young chow friend rice was made from chow puppies.
They would gag as we chowed down. Pretty funny stuff.
Back in the 80s I lived above a Japanese restaurant.
I used to sit on the deck above the parking lot behind the apartment building and watch the rats running in and out of the eatery.
[no, I didn’t count how many came *out* versus how many went *in*]....;]
Several years later, they moved out onto the Dual Highway.
It’s currently a “fashionable” place to eat.
I could just gag.
AHHH!! This was MY TOWN. Hamburg, NY. China King Restaurant. Last week, they were witnessed dragging a dead deer inside. The Health Inspectors appeared only to see them butchering the deer in the back of the restaurant. They said it was for “personal use.”
Not but a few years before, they were accused of using the seagulls that hung out in their parking lot.
They claim to now be closed because of a “family emergency.” Or, maybe because we finally know the truth about what they serve!! I will NEVER eat there again!!

Nothing wrong with fresh cold weather roadkill as long as the internal organs aren’t busted up or open wounds exist.
