Is Palin a Closet Evolutionist?
Newsweek ^ | October 2, 2008 | David Waters

The same day Sarah Palin told Katie Couric that "science should be taught in science class," a group of scientists were making that very point to the Texas Board of Education. Is Sarah Palin a closet evolutionist?

Hardly, but it's difficult to peg her as the sort of strict Creationist many academics and people of faith accuse of trying to undermine the teaching of evolution. Like many people of faith, Palin seems to believe that science and religion are not necessarily incompatible and that a good education should make room for both.

God does not need defending and is not worried about science teachers or evolutionists. God Himself gave us curiosity and the need to discover the truth about life. I am a devout Christian and believe God created everything in the universe and beyond. However, the Bible was written for people who knew absolutely ZERO about science. Enough said for now. :-)

Frankly, I am going to forgive Palin for almost any hoop McCain tells her to jump through right now. She’ll likely be her own woman one day and a prominent conservative leader.

Oh?

Just WHEN was 'science' invented?
