Thank you, Kitty, and yummmmmm on that candy. These gals have made me so hungry today...we all love chocolate for sure, don’t we?

Kitty, when I get to searching for graphics on the net, I absolutely get carried away. Its like an addiction to me, doing the search. When I get all I need, I just keep looking. Sorta like shopping~~~LOL~~

I am having a good day! It’s a day off, so I am just hanging

Northern New England looks like this now while southern New England is just beginning to hint at fall. A beautiful cool day today!

Hail To Autumn

Hail to Autumn at its very best
Before all the trees decide to rest.
The heat and humidity of summer finally past,
The chilly and frosty days will return at last.

Autumn brings her gifts all tied
With burnished vegetation far and wide,
Displaying an awesome scene for everyone
Beneath the cover of the lustrous sun.

Acorns dropped to the leaf-covered ground
Where hardy, orange pumpkins now abound.
Flocks of wildfowl in a southward flight,
Migrating to a region to avoid winter's plight.

All season long Autumn will proudly display
A skein of beautiful colors day after day
Until again the cold, Northerly Winds will blow
To eagerly remind us of the forthcoming snow.

It is Autumn's disposition to please each heart
With a spectacular event from the season's start.
The dark days of winter are now approaching fast,
So, Hail to Autumn for its memorable cast.

That little cheerleader *is* hyper! As for the cute little critters, I have the whole alphabet if you've missed it when I've posted it before. Your first letter critter is a jellyfish but your whole name looks like this:

(or you can use colored text for all except the first letter): aycee I don't ever plan to delete that Critter Alphabet because it's so cute, so if you ever want to use any of the letters, you type the whole link the same, except change the "letter" in the file name. (always a capital letter though)

Thanks for the Autumn post - we've all gotten so carried away with "chocolate", we seem to have overlooked the other 'special' days today.

Not an expert by any means—just enough curiosity to kill a herd of cats! LOL As far as I know, strawberry bush fruit is only edible to wildlife. :(

I love kiwis, but to me they have more of a first black raspberry of the season taste! Don’t care—I love them—raspberries and kiwis!

Did you know... Kiwis grow on vines and you have to have a male and female? LOL

I guess I haven't seen those. Hmmmm. I normally prefer milk chocolate to dark chocolate, but some dark chocolate is pretty good! Dark Chocolate Altoids are great! Dark chocolate on the outside, that same 'curiously strong' mint flavor on the inside. :)

Re: dark choc chips

One of my favorite snacks, trail mix style:

One package dark choc chips
Almonds
Shredded coconut
Dried cranberries

Dump together and mix well. Store in a ziplock bag in the frig.

I did not know that! I've never seen them growing - just think they're a pretty ugly fruit (a fuzzy fruit? yuk), until peeled and cut open, and they remind me of pansies then! LOL

They grow mostly in Australia. They will grow here according to catalogs, but I think the last time I checked they were about $25 a vine, or maybe for a couple vines. I can buy a lot of kiwis for $25!

Ladies, I was just reading this recipe to a friend, and realized that the original recipe that I have used for years only takes 2 teaspoons baking powder instead of the 3 teaspoons that the above recipe states. You may want to try it both ways! It also uses butter - but I use 2 Tablespoons salad oil. See what happens when you find "your" recipe and copy and paste it? I don't think either of those changes will make a big difference, but did want to give you the "exact" one I have used for so many years! Hugs!

I would prefer to buy them in the store than grow them, but I don't really enjoying gardening. A few flowers in pots and I'm happy - it's all I want to tend to.

LOL! Thanks for the correction on the chocolate pudding/cake - I wouldn’t think the salad oil vs. butter would make a big difference, but it looks like an extra tsp of baking powder might change the consistency a bit.

You can't imagine what a chocoholic I am. Here's a hint.

Dark chocolate can reduce health problems, including heart disease, hypertension, diabetes and cancer.

Dark chocolate and cocoa can also treat blocked arteries, congestive heart failure, stroke, diarrhea, dementia and even impotence.
