Dolly really laid it on us this morning. The slide show “The Joy Movie” is out-standing!!
glad you liked it Dita.... I thought it was exceptional..
Long day today.. My back was screaming at me for the abuse the past few days so after church & the hour dog walk at Terra Vista(place I told about last week).. I really took it easy today & read .. Until about an hour ago & did about an hour of yard work.. Mostly hauling many piles of weeds, sticks etc to their respective bins in back yard. Probably 20 carts full.. And a distance of about 500 feet
Haven’t fed mom since breakfast (I gave her homemade chicken/rice soup) as she has been sleeping.. Will fix her something & wake her up to eat (cats will get it if I just leave it for her) as if I stretch out, I am pretty sure I will be out for night.
I passed on our bandstand outdoor concert tonight just to save walking & sitting (that hurts too, as does now at computer). I really REALLY love yard work, just wish it would not tear up my back
You’re very welcome. I am glad to do it.
1. My life is likely to last 10-15 years. Any separation from you is likely to be painful.
2. Give me time to understand what you want of me.
3. Place your trust in me. It is crucial for my wellbeing.
4. Don't be angry with me for long and don't lock me up as Punishment. You have your work, your friends, your
Entertainment, but I have only you.
5. Talk to me. Even if I don't understand your words, I do understand your voice when speaking to me.
6. Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget it.
7. Before you hit me, before you strike me, remember that I could hurt you, and yet, I choose not to bite you.
8. Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I'm not getting the right food, I might have been in the sun too long, or my heart might be getting old or weak.
9. Please take care of me when I grow old. You too, will grow old.
10. On the ultimate difficult journey, go with me.
Please. Never say you can't bear to watch. Don't
Make me face this alone. Everything is easier for me if you are there, because I love you so. ALWAYS!
Take a moment today to thank God for your pets. Enjoy and take good care of them. Life would be a much duller, less joyful experience without God's critters~
Now please pass this on to other pet owners. We do not have to wait for heaven, to be surrounded by hope, love, and joyfulness. It is here on earth and has four legs!
Thank you, 'Dita, and I've Loved Keith Green's Music for Years. To be Devoted 100% to Jesus Christ, as Keith was, is my Heart's Desire.
Keith Green had a beautiful, rich voice, with great feeling in it. Thankfully, his voice lives on even though he has passed on. You are doing well with your Heart’s Desire, (((Kitty))).
I love yard work also; however, I don’t have a yard... minor detail missing there:). I hope that stretching out helped your back feel better.
Thank you ladies for your kind words.
when I lived in Houston I had an apt & just a very small plt in front of door/windows for plants..
What I did was adopted a couple elderly women & went & helped them..
win /win..
Morning all.. nice day today & rain tomorrow here. My brother arrives at end of week.
Mom’s 90th birthday is Sat.. Hope to get her to outdoor bandstand concert (polka group) and then to Dunkirk NY for a few days to visit her brother..
time will tell if we can do it. My brother & I & maybe another can get her up to wheel chair & to car. I simply cant do these things alone
Thank you Amy, that is sweet.
When Pharaoh refused to let the people of Israel leave Egypt, thousands of innocent Egyptians died because of his stubborn will. Perhaps the knowledge of what was about to happen to Egypts firstborn on that first Passover night caused the great anger Moses felt as he left Pharaoh (Ex. 11:8). It was going to be a night of devastation and sorrow because the ruler was in a fatal frame of mind.
Its easy for me to condemn Pharaohs willful disobedience to God, and very difficult to face my own. But this passage forces me to ask, Is my attitude choking the life out of someone close to me?
Oswald Chambers said: The right of life is insisted on all through the Bible. As long as I do not murder anyone outright the law cannot touch me, but is there someone dependent on me to whom in the tiniest way I am not giving the right to live? Someone for whom I am cherishing an unforgiving dislike? Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer (1 John 3:15).
Our hearts become hard through repeated refusals to yield to God. But they can be softened by obedience. When we say yes to God, the result is relief and life-giving release for our families, colleagues, and friends.
Whats my frame of mind today? David C. McCasland
I thank You for Your patience, Lord,
Because I often strayed,
But, O the joy that came my way
When I Thy Word obeyed. Stairs
The way of obedience is the way of blessing.

REVERSE PARKING
PAMPLONA IN JULY The festival all white and red The rocket bent on azure sky The gate releases muscled dread Young men running death defy Through narrow streets And cobbled way The swift of feet The crowds dismay Death on the run With shining horn Bedecks a ton Of Satan's scorn Into arena's mulling mass The fury of the bulls is plain The festival of bulls will pass But not the blooded cobble stain.
