THE RIBBON OF TIME

The evening wind has rustled leaves
And sleeping poets rise to wishing stars
They center the mind and roll up their sleeves
Connecting the engine to caboose with cars

Each car is a poem each poem long traveled
The train rambles on and into the night
Each heartache each passion the poet unraveled
Through dark of the tunnel and into the light

Wrenched from the fog of an old memory
Torn from the tablets of time
Fondled with love, as well they should be
And tied with the ribbon of rhyme.

Their Mommy’s condition is still critical and who knows what her future will be like.

I haven't Checked the News Yet Today to See if there's been an Update on her Condition; I Pray with you that our Savior Grants her a Complete Recovery, through His Mercies and Grace.

Then it is past time for a vacation in California!!

Plan to come in September and come to Fresno (no water) for our Annual Picnic. ;^ )

I NEVER CLIMBED A MOUNTAIN

I have never experienced the elation
of reaching the top of the mountain
nor the thrill of winning a race
money befuddles me and slips 
through my fingers
I never went to college
and I've never been to war
but I have experienced: 
the anxiety, the pain, the anger,
the frustration, the laughter,
the joy, the ecstasy, and the 
pure pleasure of being in love
I think I shall not miss the rest.

You were Up Late Last Night, Amy, Bless your Heart. I was Up Pretty Late Reading a Book in Bed, and Feel Tired Today. But it's a Beautiful Day, with Cooler Temperatures because of Yesterday's Rain.

I have a "homebody" problem also. But maybe the "gypsy in my soul" will wake up again and get me going:-).

I'm not a swimmer, especially not ocean swimmer, but I love being next to the ocean or a lake and/or being out on a boat. I don't know for how long I would like this, though; have only taken day trips. It's always good to get back to terra firma.

Gardengirl, Big Sur is a uniquely beautiful special place. Everyone loves it.

I have a gypsy in my soul as well, but she’s a tiny, quiet little thing! LOL I do most of my exploring via books!
I don’t swim much anymore. Used to live in the water. I don’t like being off shore so far that I can’t see land. I would not have been a good pilgrim coming over on the Mayflower, and if they made me stay below decks—it would have been a bad time!
