Morning Oesy...I’ve had that filed several years and always loved to read it! Reminds me of this!
“The bear couldn’t bear being bare.”
You’re most welcome.
:O)
Love it!

I grew up in a home with lots of wall plaques. One had a quotation by poet Claude Mermet that stands out in my mind: Friends are like melons; let me tell you why: To find a good one, you must one hundred try!
Most of us can identify with that. Its hard to find good friends.
I wonder if God ever feels that way about us? Out of all the people in the Old Testament, only one was ever called His friend. In Isaiah 41:8, God says that He chose Jacob, who was an offspring of Abraham My friend. Pretty exclusive club! So you can imagine how shocking it was for the disciples to hear Jesus say, No longer do I call you servants, . . . but I have called you friends (John 15:15).
Better yet, He is saying that to us as well. So, what does friendship with Jesus look like? It starts with commitment. As He said, You are My friends if you do whatever I command you (v.14). Then He added the dynamic of communication. He promised to tell us all that the Father has told Him (v.15). Are you listening? And as His friends we begin to bear fruit (v.16), sharing a commonality with Him by reflecting His glory in our attitudes and actions (2 Cor. 3:18).
Jesus welcomes you to the privilege of friendship with Him! Are you His friend?
Another great devotion. Thank you, Mayor for starting my day off right every day.
Chorus:
Picnic time for teddy bears
The little teddy bears are having a lovely time today
Watch them catch them unawares
And see them picnic on their holiday
See them gaily gad about
They love to play and shout,
They never have any cares
At six o'clock their Mommies and Daddies
Will take them home to bed
Because they're tired little teddy bears.
Every teddy bear who's been good
Is sure of a treat today
There's lots of marvelous things to eat
And wonderful games to play
Beneath the trees where nobody sees
They'll hide and seek as long as they please
‘Cause that's the way the teddy bears have their picnic.

Appreciate the lovely message this morning. Thanks very much!
No prettier words were ever spoken “What a Friend We Have In Jesus”. Amen.
That is so sweet, Oesy! Thanks!!
Your welcome Meg, have a great day!
After I sent yor fr.mail and went back to the thread...I clicked reload again and your cute graphic popped right up! I will never understand......puppies can make one smile!
**I love being out on the water; its a special place:).
I am near Marina del Rey (CA) and have sailed in Santa Monica Bay.**
WOW! Never been farther west than Indianna. I think I’d like to visit Cal, esp Big Sur and the redwoods, maybe on up to Oregon. Only one prob—you have to leave home to actually do that! I am a homebody, big time!
I adore water, and could happily spend all my time in or on it. My kids are the same way. #2 son had a field trip one time, about 4th grade. Had to sign a permission slip about whether he could swim or not. I put on there—he has gills.
#2 didn’t think it was very funny but the teacher thought it was hilarious. We have video of him swimming when he was about 6 months old—like a frog. He swam underwater, bobbed up to get a breath and kept going. He could swim almost all the way across the pool.
Hubby went to Walmart with me the other day. I headed straight to the candy/choc. He said—that bag is $4.
I just looked at him and blinked. I was thinking, if you weren’t here, I’d probably get the $8. bag! LOL
ah.......Good Morning OESY! What a darling plate of bears!

Waving back! Cloudy and overcast here, but much cooler, so I don’t care. It’s been in the high nineties for a couple of weeks, more like Aug than June.
We live on the marsh, not too far from Newport River, and just a hop, skip and a jump from the Atlantic. I love the smell of salt water, and the sound of any water.
Great message this morning, Mayor. Thanks again for your ODB ministry.
Have long and short conversations with my Friend. Sometimes I experience interruptions, but He and I just pick up where we left off. How cool is that?
