I met him when he was a patient in the hospital where I work (several years ago). That was his first heart attack. I did a prayer thread for him then, and brought it to his daughter there in the hospital.

Did he have a massive heart attack, or had he been failing for some time?

This was a massive one - he had been under a doctor’s care/observation because of the bypass surgery and was doing remarkably well.
His wife found him slumped over his ‘puter Saturday morning.
They were to go on a delayed honeymoom to Hawaii this week... :(

Thank you HiJinx, for letting us know of this sad news. Jackelope Breeder took us to the front lines of the immigration debate with first hand views of the problem. I learned more than I can say from this good patriotic American.
He walked his talk. A rare thing. One of the last postings I saw from JB was announcing his marriage. May peace be with his family.
