Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
<inspecting my manicure>
Hello, all!
Oh man!
I just had no idea!
I’ve been looking on Ebay and even those are ‘spensive!
You got a manicure??
I did my toes the other night and told Steve it was the last time I do my own. I just can’t see well enough now.
I know they’re hideous, but I can’t see them so for the time being I don’t care...
Getting just my toenails painted only costs about ten bucks and since I never get my hair done, I figure that’s ok. I’m not very high maintenance.
Ever since I was diagnosed with Type II diabetes, I've promised myself that I would make a standing bi-weekly appointment with my nail tech so she could keep my toenails and feet in shape.
However, that'll have to wait until I finish up my lymphedema massage therapy in October.
I turned fifty and went to pieces ...
Some days are better than others...some days I get up and I can’t see a thing...gotta wear my 1.75 reading glasses around just to see to get around. Other days I do OK, mostly my left eye is picking up the slack on my right.
I go Thursday for the EEG, MRI and MRA of the brain and a bone scan of my back (to find out what is hurting my back all the time.)
I know what you mean about falling apart...I feel the same way!
Luke 14:27-29
And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.
"Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Will he not first sit down and estimate the cost to see if he has enough money to complete it? For if he lays the foundation and is not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule him,
I'm just sayin'...
So that's why I feel like this...
Hmmmm...we just might have to get another dog after all...
I must confess, though, rabbit is not my forté ... too lean. Gotta plump it up with a little fat ...!
How does Steve cook rabbit?
Ours aren’t near that useful but they are cute.
Yes yes...but what’s that scripture about keeping the Word in your HEART?
Heh heh...I’m just kiddin’. In all reality, if I really wanted to get an inexpensive Bible, I could go to Mardels and get a paperback for a buck. KJV...nothing wrong with that. I frequently do...whenever I’m in there I pick one up and give it to Steve who invariably hands it out to some inquiring person at work. (Amazing how often that has happened, now I think of it.) I’ve gotten some that were botched when a name was stamped on them for really reasonable...again, they’re given away.
I just really like NASB personally...it’s what I’ve raised the boys on...it’s what our pastor uses too...and for that preference it looks like I’m gonna have to pay a bit more than a buck.
I found one at Walmart online for about $30.
I seriously have no idea.
It is awful lean...I figure it’ll need to be in a casserole or the like...with some sort of sauce. Neesha sounded like she intended to make a kind of stew.
Yeah, it’s hell getting old, ain’t it?
Why? What happen?
Coneys and taters, Precious?
Que?
Hee,hee, just want 'til you turn 60! LSA
