Yep, my Thompson Chain KJV that I got when I started college came in at about $60, back in the 70s.

Luke 14:27-29
And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.

"Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Will he not first sit down and estimate the cost to see if he has enough money to complete it? For if he lays the foundation and is not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule him,

I'm just sayin'...

Yes yes...but what’s that scripture about keeping the Word in your HEART?

Heh heh...I’m just kiddin’. In all reality, if I really wanted to get an inexpensive Bible, I could go to Mardels and get a paperback for a buck. KJV...nothing wrong with that. I frequently do...whenever I’m in there I pick one up and give it to Steve who invariably hands it out to some inquiring person at work. (Amazing how often that has happened, now I think of it.) I’ve gotten some that were botched when a name was stamped on them for really reasonable...again, they’re given away.

I just really like NASB personally...it’s what I’ve raised the boys on...it’s what our pastor uses too...and for that preference it looks like I’m gonna have to pay a bit more than a buck.

I found one at Walmart online for about $30.
