Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
I didn’t start anything. It’s my knees and my feet and my hands that aren’t cooperating today.
Rheumatiz medicine...
I've seen those and thought why didn't someone think that up when I was in college? I remember lugging those hugh textbooks clear across campus (Sam Houston State...lots of hills) and thinking I might die any minute.
I've been thinkin' that myself...
No, he wants the one with the single strap that goes across your chest.
It’s ~only~ 90.1° here.
NWS says it’s actually 102 here.
I hope the bunnies are ok...I haven’t been home to check on them but they should still be in the shade.
mmmmmm...corn squeezins...
I just noticed it’s got a light on it! The thumb drive.
I downloaded an article about raising goats onto it, then deleted it. So I did that.
Interesting, from your neck of the woods!
(At least to me!)
Can you rig up some sort of misting system for the rabbits? You know, the kind they use to cool folks in hot climates?
Hey there, 2J. My yard would certainly benefit from some goats. :-)
Which is what got me originally thinking of it.
I could, but I just go out and soak the grass under them...they seem to appreciate it.
I’m home and the water in the ice bottles was still cool...I put in some ice cream buckets full of ice for them to curl up around, so they’re good now.
Heh.
Seventies Night at Wrigley Field.
Dang! Those fashions were butt-ugly!
Got my digital to analog thingie at Radio Shack today...sort of. They don’t keep them in stock so it’s on order.
Did I tell you Matthew’s Bible got stolen at church? Well, anyway...we think it did. He left it in the sanctuary and someone picked it up and instead of taking it to the lost and found like they should’ve done, apparently they kept it. Maybe for safe-keeping...but it’s been a couple of months now and he’s had posters up at the church with a picture of a Bible like it with a $10 reward...no luck.
It’s a shame because it was the Bible my parents gave to Steve before he was a Christian and he started reading it and it’s what basically started him on his Christian walk. It has an inscription to Steve in it from my parents from when he graduated from college the first time. It also has a notation in it from when Matthew was born.
The intention was Steve was going to give that Bible to Matthew then get another one and then when Joshua gets older, give the second one to him. That way they’d both have a Bible with Steve (and their) names on it. (Matthew Steven, Joshua Philip. Steve is Steven Philip)
Anyway, I was looking for a Bible for Matthew as a replacement...NASB, leatherbound, thumb tabs would be nice...
~cough!!~
~wheeze!!~
SIXTY BUCKS!!!
My leather Oxford KJV was about $100.
Inflation!
