The Hobbit Hole XXXVI - O! Water cold we may pour at need...
Posted on 05/03/2008 8:48:06 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

I was wondering if you could do me a favor with your expertise?
In the movie “Patton” there is an air strike on the Allied HQ towards the beginning of the movie. During the air raid Gen. Patton jumps down to the street and starts shooting at the planes. He was using a small automatic from a belly holster. I am sure it was not a M1911. It almost looked like a Walther PPK.
I will try and get a screen shot to you if you need it.
Thanks.

They’re the same critter. Apparently they’re also what some call a marmot.

You may know that at the original Groundhog days in Puxatawney, PA, they served Groundhog as the main dish. (Sorry Phil)

The ~new~ “Sweeny Todd” with Johnnie Depp? Didn’t see it.
The ~older~ “Sweeny Todd” with Ben Kingsley? Most excellent!

At the last place we rented, the woodchuck would come right up to the screen door and look in at us...
You could almost hear him saying. "Check out the primates."

Nope. Not a big fan of dark twisted stuff in movies. Heck the Batman movie was close to the line for me.

I’ve not seen the Ben Kingsley version (it’s not a musical, right?). The version I did like was the stage show version with Len Cariou and Angela Lansbury.

Way cool! Just imagine a mini-gun on the Weinermobile. Now THAT would be fun!My first thought. Combine these two concepts for the premier urban stealth vehicle.
Good morning everyone!

Did you get a weinie whistle?Actually, it's a weinermobile whistle. I didn't mention it because I didn't want folks to think I was gloating.

Actually, it's a weinermobile whistle. My mistake. Judd Hirsch refers to it as "weinie whistle" in The Santa Clause.
It's not gloating if you really have one. ;-)
