I’ve not seen the Ben Kingsley version (it’s not a musical, right?). The version I did like was the stage show version with Len Cariou and Angela Lansbury.
No, the Ben Kingsley version is not a musical; it’s also not real bloody; the viewer “knows” what is going to happen, but doesn’t see it. The best way to view a movie, imho.
