Rev. Wright gave an astonishing, jaw-dropping speech before the NAACP last night. Will it be covered by the MSM? Is this the kind of speech we need to get beyond the race issue - Obama's first position during this campaign season, OR to confront honestly this country's racial history - Obama's second , post-Wright position, during this campaign season?
I understand the Rev. will be talking at the National Press Club this morning....covered probably by CSPAN.

Suppose we ask an average Dem/lib to suggest changes in the Constitution. The Bill of Rights would be trashed completely and the remainder of the document would be revised to allow more fed power.
The average “American” will ask what’s wrong with the way it was originally written?
Oh my shoulders and not so bad. Being in a 2-hour meeting this pm didn’t help, though. “What impact would a bird flu pandemic have on us and what is the probability of it occurring in the next 12-months?” Good grief. We need to plan but some of it was silly.
Good Morning. I had to toss a blanket over my Bleeding Heart, which has just started to bloom outside my front door.
I hope the blanket was enough to protect it from the freeze.
There are going to be a lot of unhappy perennials around here this morning. They were so happy, too.

Going south today for a couple weeks. Need to plant new flowers for the hot summer there.

I am getting kinda hacked at McCain, he needs to run for President and stop telling us what not to do. I am SO afraid we are not going to like his selection for VP.
Got to clean the ‘shack in the back’ so when D gets up I can get my last cup of coffee and off to the ‘sweat shop’.

I'm praying and asking for God's guidance and help with discerning: it's time to leave the UCC church I've been a part of for almost 30 years. The path to this decision has been long and bumpy, but it's time & the only question is how?
It seems to me I need to have an "exit interview" with the pastor...I think that's the honorable and just way to do it as he's so much a part of my decision.
Sometime...before May is over.
It'll impact my husband also, but he'll be supportive.
And the other thing is that at this time, I have no other church to go to, but will try to start the search.
