I can't tell you how wonderful it is to hop on the computer and like a certified freeper, THERE SITS BREAKFAST! You come to the rescue every day.

I got me a nasty job today, got to clean out the chicken house, save the ‘stuff’, let it cure and use it on my plants. The chicken house is a mess, believe me when I say mess, the chickens fayed bunches of eggs which I have to throw away, SHOVEL ‘stuff’ off the floor, etc, wash it down, haul straw (I like using pine straw as tbe ‘girls’ won't scratch it out of the bin) but will use straw to start. I will leave one bin in hopes some momma’s will raise some chicks.

I am getting kinda hacked at McCain, he needs to run for President and stop telling us what not to do. I am SO afraid we are not going to like his selection for VP.

Got to clean the ‘shack in the back’ so when D gets up I can get my last cup of coffee and off to the ‘sweat shop’.

ALL have a good safe day, a happy one and I will be checking in as time allows.

lysie, I can not tell you and ALL out there how much all have meant to me during my recovery, you have helped me keep my eyes on the goal of getting well once more. NEVER in my life have I every had association with the best of the best. You see, when I was in law enforcement I would not allow myself to have close friends simply because I never knew when I would have to arrest them for something, shame how one can warp their thinking as I did.

Good Morning Everyone. I missed y’all. PA was absolutely beautiful. Everything looked so fresh and clean, the cherry trees in bloom with other flowering trees. We loved the visit. We drove from Ft Indiantown Gap to Lancaster. Roomey asked if there were Amish farms close by and was quickly told the group was not Amish but AUmish. We even mispronounced Lancaster, it’s Lankister. But then we have some funny sounding places too. We had such a good time and ran into some nobama voters, I almost fainted. They didn’t like ole broadbeam, they said she was a liar. LOL, no kidding! Dropped by the American Legion and had one of the best NY strip steaks and one of the worst martinis in a long time. The people were so friendly, of course we were accepted as brothers and sisters in arms. We thoroughly enjoyed the group.
